Tina Louise Overbee of Greensboro and Michael Joseph Fritts of High Point exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 26, 2014, at 4 p.m. at Paul J Ciener Botanical Gardens in Kernersville, with the Rev. Jason Brinkley officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Adrian Harrison and Jackie Parks Overbee of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Gordon and Louise Best Parks of LaGrange and the late Braxton and Middis Harrison Overbee of Goldsboro.

She is a1996 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School in Goldsboro, N.C., and a 2002 graduate of East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., with a master’s degree in nutrition/dietetics.

She is employed as a health coach-registered dietitian at Aetna Insurance in High Point, N.C.

The groom is the son of David Fritts of Meredith, N.H., and Bernard and Rose Klein Howell of Locust Valley, N.Y., and the grandson of Herbert Fritts of Houston, Texas, the late Evelyn Fritts and the late Joseph and Alice Klein.

He is a1994 graduate of New Bern High School in New Bern, N.C., and a 2000 graduate of East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics.

He is employed as a construction inspector at Baker Corp. in High Point.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory sweetheart neckline mermaid-styled chiffon sleeveless gown.

The bride also wore her mother’s chapel-length mantilla bordered with chantilly lace.

She carried a bouquet of yellow roses with accents of coffee berries, brown-eyed susans and billy buttons edged with greenery.

Melissa Bodford of Charlotte, N.C., friend of the bride, served as matron of honor, while Dr. Melinda Harper of Charlotte, N.C., friend of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Allison Peschell of High Point, Jennifer Buell of Baltimore, Md., and Kristen Gwaltney of Greensboro, N.C., all friends of the bride.

Matthew Paschel of Franklinton, N.C., friend of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Bernard Howell of Locust Valley, N.Y., stepfather of the groom; Steve Lander of Colfax, N.C., friend of the groom; and Ryan Johnson and Ben Stone of High Point, N.C., friends of the groom.

Ella Grace Fritts and Sara Josephine Fritts, daughters of the groom, were flower girls.

Emily Adams of Greensboro, N.C., friend of the bride, directed the wedding.

Presiding at the register was Katie Nadeau of High Point, N.C., friend of the bride.

Holly Walker of High Point, N.C., friend of the bride, distributed programs.

Couple send-off attendant was Michaela Grace Parks of LaGrange, N.C., cousin of the bride.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Gardens.

The bride and groom left the reception in a 1940 Packard that had been restored and was driven by the father of the bride.

The couple will take a wedding trip at a later date.

The couple resides in High Point, N.C.

The groom and his parents hosted a rehearsal dinner April 25 at Giadas Trattoria in Kernersville, N.C.

Events included a bridal shower hosted by the bridesmaids and friends of the bride that was held Feb. 22 at the home of Allison Peschell in High Point, N.C.; a bridal shower hosted by family and friends of the bride that was held March 8 at Bethel United Methodist Church in LaGrange, N.C.; a bridal shower hosted by former co-workers of the bride’s mother that was held April 11 at Tri-County Electric in Dudley, N.C.; a bridal shower hosted by the bride’s co-workers that was held April 16 at Aetna Insurance in High Point, N.C.; a boudoir shower and bachelorette weekend that was held at the home of Melinda Harper in Charlotte, N.C., April 19 hosted by Melinda and the bridesmaids; and a bachelor party that was held in High Point, N.C., March 29 and hosted by the groomsmen.
