Tracy Demetrica Moore and the Rev. Dr. Jerry Michael Grimes II of Goldsboro, exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 10, 2013, at 4 p.m. at First African Baptist Church, with the Rev. James E. Grimes Sr., father of the groom, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Moore of Claremont, N.C., and the granddaughter of the late Tom and Ora Bell Herrin and the late Arthur and Sally Mae Moore, both of South Carolina.

The bride graduated from North Carolina Central University with her Master of Public Administration and North Carolina Central University School of Law with her Juris Doctorate. She is employed by Synergy Legal Staffing.

The groom is the son of the Rev. James and Mrs. Sheila Grimes of Goldsboro, N.C., and the grandson of the late Rev. Jerry and Lillie F. Grimes. Dr. Grimes is a graduate of St. Augustine University, Virginia Union University, Union Presbyterian Seminary, Fuller Seminary and Liberty University. He is currently senior pastor of Peter’s Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Wallace, N.C., and adjunct professor of religion at North Carolina Wesleyan College.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white Alfred Angelo ballgown.

Immediately following the ceremony, the reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club in Goldsboro, N.C.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom in the fellowship hall of First African Baptist Church.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower hosted by the parents of the bride at the Herrin Log Cabin estate in Akins, S.C.

Out-of-town guests were from South Carolina, Maryland, New Jersey, Tennessee, California, Virginia and Canada.
