Jessica Danielle Prunest of Seven Springs and Raymond Eric Evans exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 18, 2013, at 2 p.m. in North Topsail Beach, with pastor Joshua Boatright officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Keith Edward Prunest and Debra Ann Prunest of Seven Springs and the granddaughter of Jesse James Prunest and Joyce Ann Prunest of Mount Hope, W.Va., James H. Jewell of Mount Hope and Anna B. Snyder of Knoxville, Tenn.

She is a 2012 honor graduate of Spring Creek High School and attended a year at Wayne Community College with a concentration in dental hygiene. She is currently a full-time student.

The groom is the son of Raymond L. Evans and Suzanne Evans of Goldsboro and the grandson of Barbara Gurley of Goldsboro, the late Raymond Evans of Goldsboro and the late Harold and Margaret Watkins of Goldsboro.

He is a 2010 graduate of Spring Creek High School and a 2011 graduate of Marine Mechanics Institute in Orlando, Fla. He is enlisted in the United States Army stationed at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Ga.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a strapless formal gown with layered ruffles, a corset back and a cascade of beads on the front.

Lauren Hales, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Evernham and Abigail Sladick, friends of the bride.

Nick Coleman, friend of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Adam Haggerty and Chester Oates, friends of the groom.

Hannah Angell was the junior bridesmaid.

Ushers were Kevin Prunest, brother of the bride, and James Bailey, friend of the groom.

Gracelyn Lilly was flower girl.

William Boatright was the ringbearer.

Presiding at the register was Hannah Sladick.

Bruce Powell was soloist and Ross Merle was the DJ.

A reception: was held at Assembly Building of Topsail Island.

After a honeymoon at Topsail Beach, the couple resides in Savannah, Ga.

A rehearsal dinner was held Saturday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m.

A shower was given July 16 by Alice Sladick at Legacy Baptist Church in Mount Olive.
