Cara Ann Collins and John Potter Archer IV exchanged vows in a double ring ceremony Oct. 6 at 3 p.m. at the Rock Run mansion in Havre de Grace, Md., with Mike Sears, uncle of the bride, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Marsha and Jack Brown of Greenfield, Ind., and the late James Collins and the granddaughter of Marjorie and Ivan Brooks of Greenfield, Ind., and Larraine and Hillard Collins of Burlington, Ky.

She is a graduate of Greenfield High School and a graduate of Ball State University with a master’s degree in organizational communication. She is employed by Branch Bank and Trust as a relationship banker.

The groom is the son of John and Janet Archer of Goldsboro and the grandson of John P. and Mary Archer of Darlington, Md., and the late Laurence and Anne Chiconsky of Marquette, Mich.

He is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College, and is employed as a farm manager with Murphy Brown LLC in Scotland Neck.

The bride was escorted by her brother and stepfather and was given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal white organza gown with a halter neckline and asymmetrical ruching of the skirt. The bodice was embellished with crystal beading and pearls and featured a corset back.

She wore a tiara, and carried a handtied bouquet featuring hydrangeas, sea holly and succulents adorned with charms featuring likenesses of her late father and grandparents.

Sara Waggoner was the maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Kinsey Collins, Lyndee Sears and Anne Archer.

Jack Archer, father of the groom, served as his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were, Chris Blow, Ryan Collins and Matt Whitehead.

Abby Ebbert and Mikayla Cavaletta distributed programs, and Emily Ebbert acted as videographer.

A program of wedding music was provided by vocalist Chris Collins, cousin of the bride, and Rachel Whitehead shared a reading.

The parents of the bride hosted a dinner and dance reception at Wellwood Yacht Club.

After their wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Scotland Neck.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Bulle Rock Country Club.

Events before the wedding included a stock-the-bar shower May 19 hosted by Ada Freeman and Ben Outlaw; a miscellaneous shower Sept. 15 in Greenfield, Ind., hosted by Melia Sears, aunt of the bride; a bachelor weekend in Raleigh Sept. 28; and a bachelorette weekend in Raleigh Sept. 22.
