April Young of Charlotte and Brian Vahey of Charlotte exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 21, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. at Mint Museum of Art in Charlotte, with Christina Guzman officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dwight and Laura Young of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Donald and Barbara Young of Goldsboro, Robert Weber of Newton, Kan., and Chris Wantulok of Pueblo, Colo.

She is a 2002 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 2006 graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in communications. She is employed as membership manager at the Mint Museum of Art.

The groom is the son of Dave and Carmel Vahey of Elkins Park, Pa., and the grandson of Michael Vahey and the late Celeste Vahey of Philadelphia, Pa., and Aileen and John Meaney of Philadelphia.

He is a 2002 graduate of Cheltenham High School in Pennsylvania and a 2006 graduate of Purdue University in Indiana with a degree in professional flight technology. He is employed as an airline pilot with US Airways/PSA.

Ana Crouch was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Laura Carpenter, Ryann Fairweather, Megan Koslick, Rhonda Sherman and Cary Vahey.

Matt Vahey served as best man.

Groomsmen were Wojtek Dyszkiewicz, Dan Harris, Chandler Martin, Brendan Timmins and Stevie Vahey.

Bella and Allie Vahey were confetti girls.

A wedding reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte.

After a wedding trip to Seattle, Wash., and Vancouver, Canada, the couple resides in Charlotte.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Blackfinn restaurant in Charlotte.
