Ashlee Joie Pearce of Pikeville and Jacob Wayne Allen exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Bill Rose officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Lester Earl Pearce of Goldsboro, Cathy Hollowell Gardner of Pikeville, Joey Gardner and Donna M. Pearce and the granddaughter of Leamon and Annie Ruth Pearce and the late Milford Edgar Hollowell of Goldsboro and Bobbie Hester Patterson of Dudley.

She graduate from Charles B. Aycock High School in 2007 and attends Wayne Community College. She is employed as assistant manager at Burger King.

The groom is the son of Larry Wayne Allen and Betsy Faucette Lawhorn of Goldsboro, Lily Sutton and Ricky Lawhorn and the grandson of the late E.H. Allen “Buddy” and Rachel M. Allen of Pikeville and the late J.G. Faucette and Bessie Hines Faucette of Goldsboro.

He graduate from Rosewood High school in 2006. He is employed in the lumber yard at Georgia Pacific.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a gown with a strapless sweetheart neckline embellished with crystals and beading with an inverted V and crystal with a pick-up throughout the bottom of the gown. It had a sweep train.

Her headpiece was covered with crystals and pearls with a shoulder-length veil.

Teresa Pearce and Hope Wade were matrons of honor.

Bridesmaids were Vickie Gilbert, Jordan Huffman, Heather Allen and Virginia Allen.

Larry Allen was best man.

Groomsmen were Les Pearce, Justin Allen, Jonathan Allen and Kevin Gilbert.

Mary Katherine Allen and Autumn Pearce were flower girls. Woody Gilbert was ringbearer.

Joyce Craft and Teresa Williams directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Holly Price.

Donna Forehand and Sandra Evans were special helpers.

A program of wedding music was provided by Kathy Barker, pianist, and Luke Forehand, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Kidstuf room at the church.

After their wedding trip to Emerald Isle, the couple will reside in Rosewood.

Events held before the wedding included a shower hosted by the families; a girl’s weekend in Wilmington; and a guy’s weekend in Atlantic Beach.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the church.
