Mrs. Soto

Tammy Rogers and Luis Soto of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 22 at 5:30 p.m. at Lane Tree Golf Course, with the Rev. Eric Woods officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Rogers of Clayton and Glenda Rogers of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rogers and Janice Rogers of Dudley, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lane of Seven Springs, Anne Paim of Goldsboro and the late Donald Paim of Massachusetts.

She graduated from Spring Creek High school in 2003 and Mitchell’s Hair Styling Academy in 2005 with a degree in cosmetology. She is employed as a manager/stylist at Fantastic Sams.

The groom is the son of Natalia Botello and the late Atanacio Soto of Guanajuato, Mexico, and the grandson of the late Carmen Mendoza, Emigdia Valdez, the late Juan Botello and Camerino Soto of Guanajuato.

He graduated from Fresno Unified School District-Hamilton Union High School in 1995. He is employed at Casey Nursery.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory satin side-draped A-line gown with a beaded lace bodice and illusion back and a chapel train.

She wore a gardenia jeweled flower in her hair.

The bride carried a bouquet of red Gerber daisies and white monte casinos with greenery on the edges with hand-tied black ribbon wrapping the stems.

Allecia Rogers of Dudley was her sister’s maid of honor.

Timothy Rogers II of Dudley was his brother’s best man.

Ushers were Randy Rogers and Richard Carmack of Dudley, uncles of the bride, and Tommy Richards of Dudley, friend of the couple.

Taylor Hair of Rosewood, friend of the bride, was flower girl.

Carson and Aaron Parrish of Dudley, nephews of the bride, were ringbearers.

Janet Richards of Dudley directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Ashley Pendergraft of Jacksonville. Kelsey Rogers and Brittany Carmack of Dudley distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Todd of Goldsboro, DJ.

Following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held at Lane Tree Golf Course.

After their wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower Aug. 28 hosted by Glenda and Allecia Rogers; a bachelor party Oct. 8; and a bachelorette party Oct. 8.

A rehearsal dinner was held Oct. 21 at Arrington Volunteer Fire Department.
