Anderson - Ivey
Ashley Ann Ivey and Charles Thomas Anderson Jr. exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. at Mount Olive Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Wanda Simmons and the Rev. Steven Wicks officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Robert Barkley and Christie West Ivey of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Leslie and Polly Ivey Turner and the late Major Foy Ivey of Mount Olive and Shirley Greene West and the late William Houston West Jr. of Goldsboro.
She graduated from North Duplin High School in 2005 and Nash Community College in 2011 with an associate degree. She is employed as a physical therapist assistant at Mount Olive Physical Therapy.
The groom is the son of Margaret Price Anderson and the late Charles Thomas Anderson of Mount Olive and the grandson of the late Paul and Hazel McNamara Anderson, Clara Summerlin Price and the late Hubert Lee Price of Mount Olive.
He graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1998 and North Carolina State University in 2001 with an associate degree in animal sciences. He is employed as an equipment operator at Piedmont Natural Gas.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white satin A-line gown with beaded lace appliqué and a halter neckline. It had a chapel-length train with scalloped overlay lace hem.
Her headpiece was an elbow-length veil with beaded edging.
The bride carried a bouquet of magnolias with roses and baby’s breath.
Megan Lee Anderson was maid of honor.
Elizabeth Brooke Radford was the bridesmaid.
Groomsmen were Cody Barkley Ivey and Wesley Paul Head
Ushers were Major Foy Ivey III and Benjamin Yates Ivey.
Honorary groomsmen were Carter Manley Jones, John David Norton, Justin Price West, Richard Neal West Jr. and Ryan Major Norton.
Honorary bridesmaids were Allison Deanne West, Cathryn Dawn Jones and Dawn Anderson.
Kristal Jones directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Kristie Norton and Sharon Jones. Stephanie Ivey and Courtney Ivey distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Cathy Mason, organist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Southern Wayne Country Club. Debbie Powlas, Kitsie Jones, Ricky West, Bill West, Jean West, Gwyn Price, J.B. Price, Patsy West and Jorge West were attendants.
After their wedding trip to Atlantic Beach, the couple will reside in Mount Olive.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal brunch hosted by Debbie Powlas and Kitsie Jones; a bridal shower at Bethel United Methodist Church; a bridal shower at Mount Olive Presbyterian Church; a lingerie shower hosted by Brooke Radford and Megan Anderson; a miscellaneous shower hosted by Terrie Walton; and a bridal luncheon hosted by Margaret Anderson, Megan Anderson, Clara Price, Polly Turner, Becky Ivey and Courtney Ivey.
The groom’s mother hosted a rehearsal dinner Sept. 16 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Mount Olive.
Cathy Fonvielle, Cindy Ivey and Charles Ivey hosted a Christmas shower after the wedding.
