Ashley “Brooke” Goff of Goldsboro and Stephen Denning Tart II of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 2 at 3 p.m. at Lane Tree Country Club, with pastor E.C. Mattocks officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Billy and Kim Goff and the granddaughter of Bill Fesperman of Faison and the late Nan Fesperman.

She graduated from Rosewood High School in 2006 and East Carolina University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. She is employed at Open Door Child Development Center in Greenville.

The groom is the son of Sandra Tart of Goldsboro and Denny Tart of Grantham and the grandson of Treva Routh and the late Fred Routh of Goldsboro and John and Marjorie Tart of Grantham.

He graduated from Rosewood High School in 2006 and East Carolina University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology. He is employed with FedEx and ViQuest in Greenville.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal gown of white chiffon with a ruched strapless bodice with beading along the neckline. The pleated midriff led to a cutaway A-line beaded skirt and flowed into a beaded chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was Swarovski crystals and feathers.

The bride carried a silk clutch bouquet of fuchsia Gerber daisies, orange day lilies and green cymbidium orchids wrapped with fuchsia and orange ribbon.

Bridesmaids were Caroline Tart of Goldsboro, sister of the groom, and Sandra Bond, Lauren Gardner and Summer Langston of Goldsboro.

Denny Tart, father of the groom, and Kyle Bunn, friend of the groom, were best men.

Groomsmen were Trey Kriger, friend of the groom, and Hunter Dean, cousin of the groom.

Kennedy Dean, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. Jacob Bond, friend of the bride, was ringbearer.

Judy Hailey directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Rebecca Fesperman. Jannah and Jennifer Bond distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Stacey Overman of Goldsboro, DJ.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Lane Tree Country Club. Tina Bernhardt, Karen Fesperman and Nancy Moore served the wedding cake.

After their wedding cruise to the Bahamas and Disney World in Florida, the couple will reside in Greenville.

Events held before the wedding included a miscellaneous shower May 14 at the home of Donna Mercer hosted by Mrs. Mercer, Summer Langston, Beth Jones and Nancy Moore; a cookout and shower June 12 at the home of Diane Thornton hosted by the groom’s family; a miscellaneous shower May 21 at the home of the bride hosted by Lauren Gardner; a shower July 17 at Rosewood Baptist Family Life Center hosted by Linda Bargoil, Beverly Keen, Judy Lewis, Linda Walston, Marianne Cantey, Paula Waters, Kim Weaver and June Scott; a bachelorette weekend July 23 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by Lauren Gardner; a bachelor weekend July 30 in Emerald Isle; a bridal luncheon Aug. 20 at the Olive Garden in Wilson hosted by Lindsey Brown and Kay Boykin; and a wedding breakfast at Lane Tree Country Club hosted by Chip and Karen Fesperman.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Aug. 26 at Rosewood Baptist Family Life Center
