Outlaw-Freeman
Ada Gaynelle Freeman of Goldsboro and Lloyd Benjamin Outlaw III of Seven Springs exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the home of Drs. Sandra Freeman and Lee Berkowitz of Chapel Hill, sister and brother-in-law of the bride, with the Rev. Ashley Gray Summerlin officiating.
The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Vernon Freeman Jr. of Mount Olive.
She is a graduate of Meredith College and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is employed at Highgate Clinic as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist.
The groom is the son of Walenah Quinerly Outlaw of Kinston and the late Lloyd Benjamin Outlaw Jr.
He is a graduate of North Carolina State University. He is president of the North Carolina Pork Council. He is employed as the production manager for LL Murphrey Co. in Farmville.
The bride was escorted by her brother-in-law, Dr. Lee Berkowitz.
She wore an ivory gown of dupioni silk. The ruched bodice was adorned with her aunt’s brooch. It had a single row of silk covered buttons that spanned the center back and ended at the hemline of the chapel-length train.
Her headpiece was an elbow-length veil of silk illusion edged in pearls.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of hydrangeas, gardenias and roses.
Herbert Patrick Outlaw of Kinston was his brother’s best man.
A program of chamber music was provided by a string quartet, and Lori Dubois and D.J. Coles of Goldsboro, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, Drs. Sandra Freeman and Lee Berkowitz hosted a dinner reception in the garden.
After their wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple will reside in Seven Springs.
Walenah Outlaw and Jessie Smith hosted a rehearsal dinner at Carolina Inn May 20.
