Jessica Lynn Best of Goldsboro and Jesse Lee Murray of LaGrange exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 18 at 2 p.m. at Pineview Baptist Church, with Eddie McKeel officiating.

The bride is the daughter of George Vinson Jr. of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Judy Lynn Best of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and the granddaughter of Joyce Vinson and the late George Vinson of Atlantic Beach and Jimmie R. Best and the late Donald Cooper Best of Goldsboro.

She is a 2005 honor graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2008 cum laude graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural extension and education. She attends North Carolina State University for a master’s degree in agricultural education. She is employed as an agricultural education teacher with Wayne County Public Schools.

The groom is the son of Jesse Wayne Murray of Goldsboro and Sybil Lee Murray of Goldsboro and the grandson of Lila Mae Murray and the late Claud Wayne Murray of Goldsboro and the late Jesse Edward and Lelia James Lee of Darlington, S.C.

He is a 1998 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. He attends Lenoir Community College for an associate degree in occupational education. He is employed as an automotive technology teacher with Wayne County Public Schools.

The bride was escorted by and given in marriage by Stan Best, uncle of the bride.

She wore an ivory strapless gown with re-embroidered lace and a sweetheart neckline, a beaded bodice and an ivory satin band at the empire waist. It was embellished with crystals and sequins. The tiered trumpet skirt flowed into a semi-cathedral train. The floor-length gown showed a hint of the bride’s red peep toe pumps.

Her head piece was a two-tiered finger-tip length veil accented with Swarovski crystals and satin trim.

The bride carried a bouquet of red hydrangeas, orange tiger lilies and an assortment of red and orange roses.

Kaci Douglass was her cousin’s matron of honor, while

Bridesmaids were Mandy Ramfjord and Star Holloman, friends of the bride.

Andy Backus was his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were Tim Randall and Wesley Britt, friends of the groom.

Harlee Murray, daughter of the groom, was flower girl. Cooper Douglass, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.

Donna Lanier, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Susan Best, aunt of the bride.

A program of wedding music was provided by Lovie McKeel, director.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

After their wedding trip to the Outer Banks, the couple will resides in LaGrange.

The couple hosted a dinner June 18 at their home.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower May 22 at the home of Jimmie Best hosted by Mandy Ramfjord and a wedding shower June 9 at Eastern Wayne High School hosted by the career and technical education department.

A rehearsal dinner was held June 17 at McCalls Seafood and Barbecue.
