Harris - Brannan
Jessica Leigh Brannan and Floydie Ray Harris Jr. exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 4 at 3 p.m. at Gum Swamp Original Free Will Baptist Church in Greenville, with the Rev. Ray Brown officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen Brannan Jr. and Sandra Brannan of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Stephen Brannan, Shirley Brannan and the late Evelyn Woodward of Goldsboro.
She is a 2004 graduate of Wayne Christian School and a 2011 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in nursing. She is employed as registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The groom is the son of Floydie and Rhonda Harris of Goldsboro and the grandson of Bobby and Sandra Harris and the late Woodrow Conner Jr. of Goldsboro and Sandra Conner of Jacksonville.
He is a 2006 graduate of Harris Christian Academy and attends East Carolina University.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white satin gown with a pick-up train with a bodice adorned with crystals.
Her headpiece was a mid-length veil edged with crystals.
The bride carried a bouquet of sweet akito pink roses hand-tied with lace from her mother’s wedding gown.
Elizabeth Fleming was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Christopher, Heidi Ferrell, Holly Maldonado, Stefanie Patel and Allison Sinkhorn.
Floydie Harris was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Joshua Brannan, Carson Harris, Landon Harris, Troy Harris and Adam Parchman.
Paula Jones directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Carie Reese.
A program of wedding music was provided by Machelle Kingsley, pianist, and Landon Harris, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the church.
After their wedding trip to Montana, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a Pampered Chef shower Feb. 19 hosted by Allison Moyer; a kitchen shower March 12 hosted by Helen Brannan and Sherry Onorio; a miscellaneous shower March 25 hosted by Angie Thorne and Connie Pender; a miscellaneous shower May 1 hosted by Sandra Harris, Tammy Daughtry and friends; a shower and brunch May 14 hosted by Roxie Davis, Paula Jones and Stefanie Patel; a bridal luncheon May 21 hosted by Carie Reese; and a lingerie shower May 21 hosted by Elizabeth Fleming and Holly Maldonado.
The groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner June 3 at The Seahorse Restaurant in Greenville.
