Kelley Danielle Hammon of Goldsboro and Christopher Thomas Godwin of Pikeville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 23 at 4 p.m. at Goldsboro Worship Center, with the Rev. Danny Johnson, the Rev. Joseph C. Leonard Jr. and the Rev. Kenneth Looney officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Danny and Karen Hammon of Goldsboro, the granddaughter of the late Rev. Clarence and Vaudene Hammon of Flint, Mich., and James and Dorothy Howard of Goldsboro and the great-granddaughter of Earl and Elizabeth Walters of Goldsboro and Lewie Baker of Princeton.

She is a 2008 honor graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2010 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree. She attends Mount Olive College’s early childhood education program. She is employed as an assistant teacher in the preschool class at Wayne Child Development Center.

The groom is the son of Steve and Renee Godwin of Pikeville and the grandson of the late Ralph and Carolyn Godwin of Saratoga and Jimmie and Dorothy Franks of Pikeville.

He is a 2003 home-school graduate. He is employed as an assistant manager at Sherwin Williams Paints of Rocky Mount.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white taffeta pick-up gown with a beaded metallic lace bodice, an inverted V empire and a lace-p back.

Her headpiece was a double layer of white tulle edged with sequins and beads surrounding the bottom to match the bodice of the gown.

The bride carried a bouquet of hot pink and lime green Gerber daisies with metallic hot pink and lime green beading.

Tangelia Beck was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Christine Edmundson, Jennifer Craft and Erwin Wood.

Zachary Howell was best man.

Groomsmen were Nicholas Sullivan, Jon Jones and Garrett Wood.

Veronica Williams was the junior bridesmaid. Michael Yost was the junior groomsman.

Desiree Hammon was the miniature bride. Jimmie Godwin was the miniature groom.

Nealie Turner was flower girl. Chris Turner was ringbearer.

Twonana Campbell directed the wedding, assisted by Brittany Campbell. Presiding at the register were Hardy and Kim Sullivan. Dave and Brenda Hammon distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Tommy Howell.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Seymour Johnson Air Force Bas Community Center.

After their wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple will reside in Pikeville.

Events held before the wedding included a couple’s wedding shower Feb. 27 at Goldsboro Worship Center hosted by Karen Hammon and Renee Godwin; a lingerie shower March 26 at the home of the bride hosted by Tangelia Beck; a guy’s night out April 15 in Raleigh hosted by Nicholas Sullivan and Zachary Howell; and a wedding shower May 22 at Goldsboro Worship Center hosted by the church.
