Caitlin Aldridge Allen and Brandon George Foss exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Mount Olive, with Dr. Dennis Rue Atwood and the Rev. Gerald Keith Stacy officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas Richard Allen Jr. and Gloria Wilson Allen of Dudley and the granddaughter of the late Thomas Richard Allen and Mamie Haywood Allen of Dudley and the late Joseph Walter Wilson Jr. and Harriette Aldridge Wilson of LaGrange.

She graduated from Spring Creek High School in 2003 and East Carolina University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in business education. She attends East Carolina University for a master’s degree in business education. She is employed as business teacher with Wayne County Public Schools.

The groom is the son of George and Sandra Sutton Foss of LaGrange and the grandson of the late Lytle Ray, Louie Del Thomas Foss, the late Carey Dixon and Reba Cunningham Sutton of LaGrange.

He graduated from North Lenoir High School in 1998 and East Carolina University in 2003 with a degree in political science. He is employed as a postal worker with the United States Postal Service.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal gown of ivory crinkle taffeta with a jeweled band of Swarovski crystals, rhinestones, sequin, and bugle beads outlining the sweetheart neckline. Beading accented the organza overlay of the fitted bodice and dropped waistline. Jeweled and embroidered medallions anchored the pickups of the ball skirt and chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a full-length oval veil of ivory silk illusion edged with satin ribbon attached to a vintage pearl cap that had been worn by her mother.

The bride carried a bouquet of orange roses, mango mini calla lilies, orange hypericum berries, orange cockscomb celosia, bells of Ireland, safflower, safari sunset and fern fronts tied with purple satin ribbon.

Bridesmaids were Mary George King of LaGrange, Anna Foss Hill of Greenville and Hailey Hill Lafone of LaGrange, nieces of the groom; Karen Foss Hill and Lesley Foss King of LaGrange, sisters of the groom; Shanna Wilson Wiggins of LaGrange, cousin of the bride; and Haley VanLauren Peacock of Dudley, Elizabeth Diana Moore of Mount Olive and Jessica Gray Ficken of LaGrange, friends of the bride.

George Foss was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Carey Jenkins King of LaGrange, nephew of the groom; Roger Keith King of LaGrange, brother-in-law of the groom; Jackie Earl Hill Jr. of LaGrange, brother-in-law of the groom; Scott Sutton Hardy of LaGrange, brother-in-law of the bride; Bryce Hain Ficken III of Dudley, friend of the bride; and Robert Lee Wade Jr. of Holly Springs, Jonathan Morris Killette of Raleigh and Davis Brent Wiggins and Michael Gordon Parks of LaGrange, friends of the groom.

Honorary bridesmaids were Robin Lear Peacock of Dudley, Nadia Randolph Jones of Dudley and Heidi Wiseman Allen of Kenly, friends of the bride.

Honorary groomsmen were Kenneth Ryan Lafone of LaGrange, nephew-in-law of the groom; and Richard Jon Decola of Raleigh, Robert Braxton Holland III of LaGrange and Stephen Brandon Houghton of Kinston, friends of the groom.

Mary Gray Hardy and Emma-Scott Haywood Hardy, nieces of the bride, and Caroline Tyler Lafone and Emma Raegan Lafone, nieces of the groom, were flower girls.

Loretta Mewborn Butts, friend of the bride, assisted by Dolly Bryan-Berge, friend of the bride. Presiding at the register were Leigh Anne Herring of Rocky Mount and Kathryn Wade Moore of Snow Hill, friends of the groom. Kerri Wilson Harris of Wilmington and Amy Wilson Brinker of Wilmington, cousins of the bride, distributed the programs.

Special helpers were Jenny Wall Daniels, James Royal Lambert Jr., Katie Elizabeth Savage and James Branson Vickory.

A program of wedding music was provided by Amanda Whaley Anderson, vocalist; William Wade Sawyer, organist; and Paige Vickory Barwick, violinist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Walnut Creek Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. Elias James Bundy Jr., friends of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Ralph Tyndall, friends of the groom, greeted guests. Lavina Irene Wilson, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake.

After their wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in LaGrange.

West, Nadia R. Jones, Heidi W. Allen and Elizabeth D. Moore, friends of the bride; an outdoor party Oct. 9 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hill in LaGrange hosted by the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Keith King, brothers-in-law and sisters of the groom, and Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Lafone, nephew-in-law and niece of the groom; a bachelor party Oct. 30 in Raleigh hosted by friends of the groom; a miscellaneous shower Nov. 4 at Southern Wayne High School in Dudley hosted by co-workers of the bride; a tea Nov. 7 at LaGrange Christian Church hosted by Myra S. Herring, Judy F. Mooring, Dean Mooring and Amy Burke, friends of the groom; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon Nov. 13 at the Village Steakhouse and Pub hosted by Lavina Irene Wilson, aunt of the bride.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Nov. 19 at Walnut Creek Country Club. Following the rehearsal dinner, friends of the groom and the groom’s parents hosted a dance at Walnut Creek Country Club.
