PIKEVILLE — Jennifer Diane Head and Brogden Chad Hines exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 29 at 2 p.m. at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Don Sauls officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Johnnie Ray and Pamela Howell Head of Pikeville and the granddaughter of Milton and Shirley Combs Head of Goldsboro and Carey Elwood and Jencie Whaley Howell of Pikeville.

She graduated from Wayne Community College with an Associate in Applied Sciences degree for medical assistance.

The groom is the son of Samuel Glenn and Pamela Jones Hines of Goldsboro and the grandson of Mozelle Hines and the late Arcie Hines of Goldsboro and Evelyn Mary Louise Jones and the late Henry Jones of Raeford.

He is serving in the United States Navy.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a a strapless A-line gown with a fitted bodice and an empire waist accented with handbeaded lace of ruching detail that included a chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a waist-length one-tiered veil embellished with crystals.

The bride carried a bouquet of red roses and white baby’s breath accented with sprays of crystals.

Paige R. Serlick was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Dana Head, Brittany Nikolas, Kristin White, Brittany Campbell and Niki Howell.

Samuel G. Hines was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Matthew Hines, Zakok Hines, Jeff Head, Corey Martin and Kris Campbell.

Amanda Moran was the honorary bridesmaid. James Serlick was the honorary groomsman.

Paislee Head was the miniature bride. Danton Head was the miniature groom.

Keely-Dan Howell and MacKenzie Jones were flower girls. Elliott Jones was ringbearer.

Twonana Campbell directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Linda Blokland. Valerie Blokland and Dana Paulsen distributed the programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jeff Martin, sound technician; and Amy Mooring and Jeff Head, vocalists; and Kevin Mooring, Gene Dawson, Tim Aycock and Craig Kirby, band members.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Lynn Mooring was director.

After their wedding trip to Atlanta, Ga., the couple will reside in Gulfport, Miss.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church hosted by the couple’s families; a personal shower hosted by Paige Serlick; and a bridal shower hosted by The Christian Soldier employees.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner May 28 at in the church fellowship hall.
