Cynthia Joan Lewis and Joshua Franklin Price of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 6 at 4 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Vernon W. Brown officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Roger and Ruby King Lewis of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Jessie Stone of and the late George Henry Lewis of Goldsboro and the late Robert Odell King and Eunice King Duski of Pink Hill.

She is a 2007 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority. She is employed as a case manager at Riddle and Brantley L.L.P.

The groom is the son of Gerald Mitchell and Carol Price of Dudley and the grandson of the late Eugene and Nataline Price of Goldsboro and the late M.B. and Edna Price of Dudley.

He is a 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He is employed as an estimator at Daniels and Daniels Construction Co.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory silk taffeta gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline and a ruched bodice adorned with crystal and floral detail that flowed into a chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a fingertip veil edged with crystals.

The bride carried a hand-held bouquet of white Virginia roses and white Gerber daisies.

Chanda Lewis Newsome was her sister’s matron of honor, while Roberta Jane Penn was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Emily Harris, Kellie Keener, Jamie Madden and Cristina Madero.

Gerald Mitchell Price was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Brenton Hood, John R. Bell IV, Daniel Davis, Andrew Gridley, Greg Warren and Jonathan Barwick.

Ushers were Benjamin Whetsell, Buzz Wilkinson, Ashley Narron and Hunter Jones.

Abi Lewis was the flower girl.

Paige Barwick directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Kate Whetsell. Camilla Goodchild distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Melissa Coutts, pianist, and Jamie Cambareri, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Lane Tree Golf Club.

After their wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Brown Bag Cafe hosted by Chanda Newsome and Iris Swanick; a bachelor weekend Feb. 25-28 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by the groomsmen and friends of the groom; a bachelorette weekend Feb. 19-21 in Wilmington hosted by the bridesmaids’ and friends of the bride; a shower Feb. 6 at the home of Eddie and LuAnne Scott hosted by the Scotts and Neil and Gayle Hines; a shower March 4 at Daniels and Daniels Construction Co. hosted by co-workers of the groom; a shower Feb. 3 at Torero’s Restaurant hosted by co-workers of the bride; a shower Jan. 24 at Providence United Methodist Church hosted by New Covenant Sunday school class; a bridal shower Jan. 16 at the home of the bride’s parents hosted by Chanda Newsome, Iris Swanick, Kellie Keener, Madalyn Lambert and Rachel Mills; a handyman and homemaker shower Nov. 28 at Sleepy Creek Country Club hosted by friends of the couple; and an engagement party May 23 at the home of Katherine Lando, hosted by Allison and Steve Mundy.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner March 5 at Southern Wayne Country Club followed by a wedding eve dance.
