ROCKY MOUNT — Connie Jackson Godbold of Rocky Mount and John Clinton Bashore exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 5 at noon at Southside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Gurganus officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Johnnie Mae Lee Jackson and the late Lewis Robert Jackson of Clinton and the granddaughter of the late Zebbie and Louetta Jackson of Clinton and the late John and Marini Lee of Newton Grove.

She is employed as a specialty merchandiser manager at Food Lion in Wilson.

The groom is the son of James and Barbara Brosseau Joyner of Rocky Mount and the grandson of the late Wiley and Elizabeth Joyner of Rocky Mount and the late Adelard and Barbara Brosseau of Fitchburg, Mass.

He is employed as a general manager at Air Compressor Equipment in Wilson.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her son, Sean Allen Kennedy.

She wore a white/apple satin split-back A-line with beaded cuff, hem, inset and chapel train.

Her headpiece was a silver rhinestone tiara with marquis stones.

The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white and red roses.

Renee Eloise Kennedy was her mother’s maid of honor.

Brenda Jackson Wilson, sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid.

Brian Keith Bashore was his father’s best man.

Ushers were Tom Bashore, brother of the groom, and George Wilson, brother-in-law of the bride.

Chase Allen Kennedy, grandson of the bride, was ringbearer.

Presiding at the register was Jessica Keene, niece of the bride.

A program of wedding music was provided by Lee Ann Myers, niece of the bride, vocalist.

Following the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a reception.

The couple will reside in Rocky Mount.
