MOUNT OLIVE — Deena Victoria Wells of Goldsboro and Frazier Leon Sanders of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Feb. 20 at 4 p.m. at Long Ridge Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Frank Harrison officiating.

The bride is the daughter of James Franklin Wells Jr. of Mount Olive and Vickie Holmes Wells of Pikeville and the granddaughter of the late James Franklin Wells Sr., Mamie Ruth Wells, Viola Wilkins Beamon and the late James Thomas Beamon of Mount Olive .

The groom is the son of Nancy Lewis Sanders of Pikeville and the late Carl LaFayette Sanders Jr. of Wilmington and the grandson of the late Carl LaFayette Sanders Sr. and Bonnie Warlick Sanders of Wilmington and Ruth Cummings Lewis and the late Rev. Leon “Dick” Lewis Jr. of Pikeville.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white satin corset ballgown with beaded lace appliqués, an organza pick-up skirt and a lace-up back with a chapel train.

Her headpiece was a three-row rhinestone vine headband.

The bride carried a bouquet of Casablanca lilies and orchids.

Heather Allen was matron of honor, while Stephanie Wells, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were LeeAnne Ferguson, cousin of the bride, and Amy Farmer.

Taft Sanders was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Justin Gardner, Michael Parrish and Will Gainey, cousin of the groom.

Mary Katherine Allen was flower girl. Carter Smith was ringbearer.

Brandi Hamm and Carolyn Burroughs directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Leighanna Kornegay. Amber Goff distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Cox, pianist and vocalist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s family hosted a reception in the church fellowship hall.

The couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ luncheon Feb. 17 at the home of Belinda Summerlin, aunt of the bride, hosted by Ms. Summerlin; a shower Feb. 7 at Long Ridge Baptist Church hosted by family and friends; and a shower Jan. 8 at the home of Ruth Lewis, grandmother of the groom, hosted by Nancy Sanders.

The groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner Feb. 19 at Long Ridge Free Will Baptist Church.
