Andrea Danielle Whitmire and Adam Garrett Taggert of Dudley exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 24 at 4 p.m. at Lane Tree Golf Course, with Ron Varner officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Terry Paul Whitmire and Cynthia Thornton Whitmire of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Thomas Fred Whitmire and the late Elinor Whitmire of Goldsboro and A.J. and Sandra L. Thornton of LaGrange.

She graduated from Eastern Wayne High school and Wayne Community College with two associate degrees.

The groom is the son of Michael Gerard Taggert of Fredericksburg, Va., and Penny Cook Luna of Dudley and the grandson of Catherine Marie Taggert and the late James David Taggert of Norfolk, Va., and the late Luther and Pamela Olive Cook.

He graduated From Southern Wayne High School. He is employed as a firefighter at the city of Goldsboro.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Stephanie Sander was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Kristin Mintz, Stephanie Luna, Jessica McCarthy and Andrea Zimmerman.

Joseph Strickland was best man.

Groomsmen were Chris Whitmire, Justin Eubanks, Logan Zimmerman and Steve Consentino.

Carlan McDonald was the flower girl. Allen Thornton was the ringbearer.

Amber Taggert directed the wedding. Vicky Mintz distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Lorie Richardson, pianist, L.J., DJ.

Following the ceremony, the couple’s parents hosed a reception.

After their wedding trip to Nassau, Bahamas, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included showers hosted by Cynthia Whitmire, Rose Barnett, Stephanie Luna and Amber Taggert.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Parker’s in Wilson.
