Tara Lynn Watson and Robert Edward Fones of Princeton exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, with pastor Doug Seymour officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mary Edwards of Princeton and Timothy and Christine Watson of Dudley, the granddaughter of Evert Watson, the late Alice Watson, Calvin Edwards and the late Marie Edwards of Goldsboro and the stepgranddaughter of Marlene Edwards, Elizabeth Watson, Jean and Bobby Ackiss and Elizabeth Stocks of Goldsboro.

She is a 2003 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2009 graduate of Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in accounting. She is employed at Best Distributing Co.

The groom is the son of Bobby and Ann Peacock of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Paul and Eula Peacock of Goldsboro and Donald and Jane Wilson of Pikeville.

He is a 2003 graduate of Caldwell Community College. He is employed at Lee Electrical Construction.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white satin side draped A-line gown with an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline and a sweep train.

Her headpiece was a crystal tiara with rhinestone flowers and metallic leaves.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of yellow sunflowers with white satin ribbon.

Lisa Pipkin was her friend’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Melissa Herring, sister-in-law of the bride, and Jennifer Fink and Lindsay Kornegay, friends of the bride.

Jamie Watson, brother of the bride, was the best man.

Groomsmen were Brian Hester, Terry Stroud and Jerry Stroud, friends of the groom.

Jeremy Peacock, brother of the groom, was honorary usher.

Kaitlynn Watson, niece of the bride, and Jessica Fones, daughter of the couple, were flower girls. Remington Davis, cousin of the groom, was ringbearer.

Joanne Honn directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Michelle Tadlock. Candice Beasley distributed wedding programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by April Wilson, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception in the fellowship hall.

After their wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple will reside in Princeton.

Events held before the wedding included a wedding shower July 31 hosted by the accounting department of Best Distributing Co.; a wedding shower Aug. 23 hosted by the bride’s family; a wedding shower Aug. 30 hosted by the groom’s family; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon Sept. 11 at Illiano’s Italian Restaurant.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the church.
