Amber Jeanette Hinson and Jeremiah Zachary Christopher Goodson of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 29 at 2 p.m. at Pikes Crossroads Church, with pastor Merrill Davis officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas McCoy and Sharlene Gurley Register of Goldsboro, the granddaughter of the late Elly Mae Register of Wilmington, Virginia Harper Chase of Killeen, Texas, Vayria Fields Whitley of Snow Hill and the late William Edmund Gurley of Pikeville and the stepgranddaughter of the late Joseph Marion Whitley.

She graduated from Rosewood High School in 2007 and attends Wayne Community College for a degree in medical office administration. She is employed as a keyholder at Shoe Show.

The groom is the son of Davis Franklin Goodson Jr. and Melissa Anne Goodson of Fremont and the grandson of Davis Franklin Goodson Sr. and Christine Goodson of Pikeville and Frank Eugene Ferry and the late Nellie May Ferry of San Antonio, Texas.

He graduated from Rosewood High School in 2007. He is employed as a plumbing sales specialist at Lowe’s.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a satin A-line gown with an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline, a beaded side-draped bodice and an asymmetrical skirt. The gown had a chapel train.

The bride carried a bouquet of white roses accented with lavender ribbon.

Valerie Hinson Holland was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Abigial Goodson, Sarah Goodson and Katie Cottle.

Davis Franklin Goodson Jr. was best man.

Groomsmen were Eddie Hinson, Josh Singleton and John Clark Jr.

Allison Hinson was flower girl. Joshua Hinson was ringbearer.

Melva Thompson and Tammy Tyner directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Joe and Stacy Finley. Alex Hinson and William Hinson Jr. distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Thomas, Joy and Cody Thompson.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church. Walda Talton was director. Joshua and Niki Goodson served refreshments. Amy Hinson and Jeanne Cottle served the wedding cake.

After their wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a kitchen shower hosted by Jeanne and Katie Cottle; a bridal shower hosted by Melva Thompson, Vayria Whitley and Tammy Tyner; and a lingerie shower hosted by Stacy Finley and Valerie Hinson Holland.

The groom’s family hosted a rehearsal dinner at Pikes Crossroads Church.
