Carrie Christine Teachey of Chapel Hill and Eric Temple Lee of Chapel Hill exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. at Saulston United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rick Ward officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Eddie Ray and Sula Best Teachey of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Gaye Sutton Hobbs of Henderson and the late Carl Bryant Teachey and Norwood and Christine Best of Goldsboro.

She graduated from Wayne Christian in 2004 and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She attends the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for a master’s degree. She is employed as a bookseller at Barnes and Noble in Durham.

The groom is the son of Thomas Eugene Lee III of Orlando, Fla., and Mischa Hill Davis of Apex, the stepson of Tommy Davis of Apex and Julie Lee of Orlando and the grandson of Thomas Euguene Lee Jr. and Ruth Phelps Lee of Jupiter, Fla., and Temple Hicks and Blanche Harrell Hill of Marshville.

He graduated from Apex High School in 2003 and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in film. He is employed as an associate video network operator at MCNC in Research Triangle Park.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore an ivory and champagne lace beaded gown with an empire waist and cap sleeves with a chapel train

Her headpiece was a short ivory veil with beaded edges with a gold comb with pearl clusters and Swarovski rhinestone crystals.

The bride carried a bouquet of white roses, pink Gerber daisies and purple statice.

Michelle Carmon was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Cynthia Isaksen, Hanna Short, Jessica Meisenhelder and Karen Lee.

Stephen Lee was best man.

Groomsmen were Aaron Voyles, Mike Morelli, Jason Delamar and Paul Zimmerman.

Mackenzie Minchew was flower girl. Mason Minchew was ringbearer.

Sheila McCullen directed the wedding, and was assisted by Debbie Rose and Sheila Rogers. Stephanie Joyner distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Camille Frederick, pianist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at LaGrange Garden Club.

After their wedding cruise to Key West, Fla., Cozumel and Belize, the couple will reside in Chapel Hill.

Events held before the wedding included a shower and barbecue June 12 at the home of Barbara Mulkey of Cary, aunt of the groom, hosted by Ms. Mulkey; a miscellaneous shower July 12 hosted by ladies of Saulston United Methodist Church; and a bachelorette party July 17-18 at Great Wolf Lodge in Concord hosted by the bridesmaids.

A rehearsal dinner was held in the church fellowship hall.
