WILSON — Tiffany Nicole Phillips and Jason Wayne Rowe exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 18 at 4 p.m. at Farmington Heights Church, with the Rev. LaVon Phillips and the Rev. Anthony Phillips officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Debbie Phillips of Wilson and the granddaughter of Doris Phillips and the late Rev. Joseph Phillips of Wilson and Paul and Faye Jordan of Erwin.

She is a 2001 graduate of James B. Hunt High School and a 2006 graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education and human studies. She is employed as a health and physical education teacher with Johnston County Schools.

The groom is the son of Wayne and Judy Rowe of Princeton and the grandson of the late Edward and Agnes Rowe, Ilene Rose and the late Norman “Stumpy” Rose of Princeton.

He is a 1998 graduate of Princeton High School and a 2002 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in information technologies. He is employed as a pc/network support specialist with Johnston County Technology Services.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Christy Elliott of Simpson was her friend’s matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Christin Thompson of Durham, Jennifer Hawley and Ginger Phillips of Wilson and Jodi Cobb of Apex, friends of the bride, and Caroline Jordan of Wake Forest, cousin of the bride.

Wayne Rowe was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Brandon Renfrow of Princeton, Sean Phillips and Ryan Hayes of Wilson and Chris Barnes of Smithfield, friends of the groom, and Jordan Phillips of Pinehurst, brother of the bride.

Alyssa Lee of Newton Grove, niece of groom, was the junior bridesmaid. Nicholas Phillips of Princeton, cousin of the bride, was the junior groomsman.

Josie Barbour, Laney Barbour and Jordan Lee, nieces of the groom, were flower girls. Luke Phillips, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.

Teresa Pope directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Kristen Hayes and Brooke Pope. Mary Hunter Olive distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Ryan Godwin, pianist; Everett Godwin, violinist; and the Rev. Tim Hurt, Michele Thurman and Heather Mercer, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Wilson Country Club.

After their wedding trip to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Clayton.

Events held before the wedding included a Christmas shower Dec. 12 at the home of Marsha Miller hosted by Ms. Miller; an engagement party March 21 at the home of Walter and Wendy Powell hosted by Jodi Cobb, Christy Elliott and Jennifer Hawley; a luau at Lake Gaston May 23 hosted by the bride’s family and friends; a shower May 30 at Rains Crossroads Original Free Will Baptist Church in Kenly hosted by friends and family of the groom; a shower may 31 at Farmington Heights

hosted by Becky Andrews, June Aycock, Teresa Hayes, Susan Tyson and Robin Hall; a bachelorette weekend and lingerie shower June 5 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by the bridesmaids; a bachelor party June 12 weekend in Myrtle Beach; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon July 10 at Wakefield Country Club in Raleigh hosted by Suzanne and Caroline Jordan, aunt and cousin of the bride, and Fay Jordan, grandmother of the bride.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Willow Springs Country Club.
