GRAND CAYMAN ISLAND — Karen Anne Taylor and Daniel Bryan McKnight exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 17 at 11 a.m., with Oral Roberts McLaughlin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mark Alan and Anne Marie Kuhns of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Bernie and Patricia Plues of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Peter Lynn and Ruth Anne Sherrick of Lake Orion, Mich.

She attends North Carolina State University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

The groom is the son of Susan Leigh McKnight and the late David Bryan McKnight of Goldsboro and the grandson of Andrew and Juanita McKnight and Randy and Betty Watts of Goldsboro.

He graduated from North Carolina State University in 2008 with a degree in graphic design. He is employed at XinRay Systems as a CAD technician.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her father and mother.

She wore a mermaid-style dress. She wore an old family heirloom pin from her new mother-in-law as her something old and two garters from North Carolina State and the Pittsburgh Steelers as her something new and blue

Her headpiece was a tiara and sparkling jewels.

The bride carried a bouquet of island flowers.

Jessica Taylor was her sister’s maid of honor

Bridesmaids were Sandra Taylor and Debra Taylor

Michael McKnight was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Andrew Smith and Michael Hallock.

Rebecca Kuhns, sister of the bride, was flower girl.

Desiree Evans directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jodi Albright and Michael McKnight, and an island harpist.

A reception was held at Whitley Church June 27.

After their wedding cruise to the Cayman Islands, the couple now resides in Raleigh.

Events held before the wedding included a shower in December and one in May.
