Jessica Rebecca Myers of Kenansville and William Rhodes “Bill” Thomas exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 22 at 7 p.m. at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Ashton T. Griffin, uncle and aunt of the bride, with the Rev. Paula Griffin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dwight and Becky Dail Myers of Pelletier and the granddaughter of Madelene Raynor Myers and the late Raymond Myers of Kinston and Lula Keel of Burlington and the late William Henry Dail of Snow Hill.

She graduated from James Sprunt Community College in 2004 with an Associate in Arts degree and is pursuing a degree in cosmetology. She is employed at A Change of Venue Cafe in Kenansville.

The groom is the son of Davey Thomas and Gwyn Rhodes of Kenansville, the stepson of Earl Hardy of Kenansville and the grandson of the late Hughie and Mildred Houston Rhodes and Randolph and Georiga Everton Smith of Kenansville.

He is a 1999 graduate of Wayne Community College. He is employed as a soil conservation technician with the USDA and a contract grower with Nash Johnson and Sons Farms.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Dr. Laura Ellen Sutton Johnson was matron of honor, while Candace Williams and Hilary Myers were maids of honor.

Davey Thomas was best man.

A program of wedding music was provided by Eric Horner, vocalist, cousin of the bride.

Following the ceremony, the Griffins, family, friends and neighbors hosted a reception at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Ashton Griffin.

The couple and their family and friends hosted reception May 23 at the Hayloft in Kenansville.

After a wedding trip to the southeastern coast of North Carolina, the couple resides in Kenansville.

Events held before the wedding included an engagement party March 14 at the Hayloft hosted by David Chestnutt, Elwood Garner, Jeremy Carr and Phillip Sanderson and their families, friends of the groom; a bachelorette spa weekend in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by Candace Williams, friend of the bride; a bridal brunch the Bistro at Duplin Winery hosted by Connie Matthis, Jane Moore and Sally Heath, aunts of the groom; and a bachelor party at the home of Seth Quinn in Magnolia hosted by Elwood Garner.
