MOUNT OLIVE — Ashley Nicole Wiggins and Danny Ray Brock Jr. of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Jan. 24 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Dennis Atwood officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Gregory Morris and Rhonda Wiggins and Michael and Tina Bell Phillips of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Morris and Elsie Long Wiggins, Charles Norwood “Tinker” and Susie Tillman Bell of Mount Olive.

She graduated from Southern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College’s licensed practical nursing program and is pursuing an associate degree in nursing at James Sprunt Community College. She is employed as a licensed practical nurse at Goldsboro Pain Medicine.

The groom is the son of Danny Ray and Pamela Bostic Brock of Warsaw and the grandson of the late Horace Brock Jr. and Annie Mae Brock Walker of Beautancus and the late Willie Ray and Adell Rouse Bostic of Warsaw.

He graduated from James Kenan High School. He is employed by Goldsboro Milling Co.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white gown of satin with a strapless scalloped sweetheart neckline and a fitted bodice adorned with crystal beading, pearls and rhinestones. The waistline was encrusted with beading and led to an A-line skirt with a double-layer pleated apron back with beaded motifs around the front hem and pleated cathedral train.

Her headpiece was a white fingertip-length veil adorned with rhinestones and a satin pencil edge.

The bride carried a clutch bouquet of white Virginia roses and bells of Ireland with white feathers.

Heather Smith Brock was her sister-in-law’s matron of honor, while Chelsea Michelle Phillips and Savannah Shay Wiggins, sisters of the bride, were maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Olivia Danielle Whitman and Melinda Joy Godwin, cousins of the bride.

Danny Ray Brock was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Wesley Ray Brock, brother of the groom; Gregory Matthew Wiggins and Joshua Gray Wiggins, brothers of the bride; and Tyler Worth Edmundson, friend of the couple.

Olivia Reese Oates was flower girl.

Brenda Pittard Davis and Kimberly Davis Joyner directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Mary Brooks Daly. Sarah Brittney Barwick distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Brandi Mohiser Worth, vocalist; Weil Sawyer, organist; and Paige Vickory Barwick, violinist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the church’s Christian life center. Mr. and Mrs. Dexter Jackson greeted guests. Emily Nicole Jackson poured punch. Emily Ricks Lancaster served the wedding cake. Sherrie Wiggins Whitman was director.

The couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a lingerie shower Jan. 16 at the home of Carmen Oates hosted by Ms. Oates and Heather Brock; a a luncheon and shower Jan 11 at Pizza Village hosted by the Truth Seekers Sunday school class of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive; a miscellaneous shower Jan 4 at the home of Vickie Tillman hosted by English Albertson, Brooks Daly, Lynn Daly, Regina Godwin, Emily Lancaster, Sandy Lesley, Ginny Thames, Ms. Tillman and Robin Whitman; a miscellaneous shower Jan. 3 at Calypso Baptist Church hosted by Judith Bankston, Patricia Bissette, Crystal Johnson, Anges Lamm, Sherrie Whitman and Savannah Wiggins; and a Christmas Shower Dec. 14 at First Baptist Church hosted by Emily and Ann Jackson.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Jan. 23 at the Country Squire. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
