Wilkinson-Cwiakala
GREENVILLE — Heather Rae Cwiakala of Greenville and Brad David Wilkinson of Greenville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, with Rector Bob Hudak officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David Walter and Brenda Rae Cwiakala of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Walter Steven and Florence Eva Cwiakala and the late Mack Floyd McKenzie of Muskegon, Mich., and Norma Rae Morton of Grand Rapids, Mich.
She graduated from Appalachian State University and East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is employed as director of emerging media at East Carolina University.
The groom is the son of Dean Harmon and Jana Lea Wilkinson of Sanford and the grandson of Alois Evelyn and the late William Harmon Wilkinson of Mound City, Mo., and Mary Elizabeth Schooler and the late Wilber Lee Schooler of Craig, Mo.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree and East Carolina University with a master’s degree. He is employed as a purchasing manager at Practicon Inc.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a trumpet gown with a chapel-length train -of silk satin with an overlay of English net -embroidered with Swarovski diamonds, seed pearls and white and glass beads.
Her headpiece matched the detail of the dress with a fingertip veil.
The bride carried Gerber daisies in fall colors, croton leaves, wheat and hypericum berries.
Tiffany Camia was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Cwiakala, Carolyn Green, Niki Wilkinson Hicks and Sharon Price.
Dean Harmon Wilkinson was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen and ushers were Christopher Cwiakala, James Hicks, Jonathan Layman and Drew Lucas.
Ivey Cwiakala Wade was the junior bridesmaid.
Jayde Cwiakala and Caroline, Katherine and Georgia Hicks were flower girls. Harrison Hicks was ringbearer.
Presiding at the register were Marla and Bill Dixon. Dee and Ken Davis distributed programs.
Kim Cwiakala Jordan was the reader.
A program of wedding music was provided by Rozanna Vancil, vocalist and organist, and Elizabeth Bean, Bryan Pollock and Matt Scully, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii the couple resides in Greenville.
