Danyle Marie Herring of Leland and Matthew Chad Davis of Leland exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. at Black Jack Grove Free Will Baptist Church, with Maj. Cecil Brogden officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Danny Ray and Angela Kennedy Herring of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Onalee Tipton and Norwood Ray Herring of Kinston and John Robert and Judy Morrison Kennedy of Goldsboro.

She is a 2006 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and attends Wayne Community College for a degree in business administration.

The groom is the son of Jonathan LaRue and Terri Rye Davis of Goldsboro and the grandson of Ella Bee Davis, the late Rev. LaRue Davis and the late Wilbur Lee and Wilma Brown Rye of Goldsboro.

He is a 2006 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2008 graduate of Wayne Community College with a degree in electronics engineering technology. He is employed as an instrumentation and controls technician with Progress Energy’s Brunswick Nuclear Power Plant.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.

She wore a two-toned diamond white/champagne strapless A-line dress with a beaded bodice and a cathedral length train.

Her headpiece was a one-tiered fingertip-length veil with satin edges.

The bride carried pink and white roses and pink peonies.

Jennifer Henderson was matron of honor, while Kasey Powell was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jessica Kennedy and Ashley Kennedy.

Jonathan Davis was best man.

Groomsmen and ushers were Joseph Davis, Luke Davis and Robert Herring.

Anna Marie Davis, daughter of the couple, was flower girl.

Ann Shaw directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Donna Pearce.

Special helpers were Barbara Pearce, Janet Richards, Phyllis Mozingo, Joann Kennedy, Jean Turnage and Edna Kennedy.

A program of wedding music was provided by Carlton and Renee Hinson.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.

The couple reside in Leland.

Events held before the wedding included a bachelorette party at the home of Kasey Powell hosted by Ms. Powell and a bridal shower at Black Jack Grove Church hosted by the couple’s parents.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner.
