Katherine Hope Stackhouse and Roy John Parker IV exchanged vows Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, with Dr. George Harriss Ricks and the Rev. Ryan David Rasmussen officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Bryant Stackhouse of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Mrs. William Jay Derby, the late Mr. Derby, Mr. and Mrs. John Woods Stackhouse of Morehead City and the late Katherine Dunlap Stackhouse.

She is employed with Wayne Realty and Insurance Co. Inc.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Randall Saunders of Raleigh and Mr. and Mrs. Roy John Parker III of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William O. Upchurch and Mr. and Mrs. Roy John Parker Jr.

He is employed with Key Impact Sales and Systems Inc. in Chesapeake, Va.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Elizabeth Stackhouse Saunders of Richmond, Va. was her sister’s matron of honor, while Susan Dunlap Stackhouse of Raleigh, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Matilda Parker Faircloth of Goldsboro, sister of the groom; Eleanor Scott Best of Charlotte and Heather Sauls Honeycutt of Dunn, cousins of the bride; Elizabeth Davis Parker of Raleigh; Heather Minges Wiggins of Kinston; and Elizabeth Neese Woodard of Goldsboro.

Roy John Parker III was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Will Ray Faircloth of Goldsboro, brother-in-law of the groom; James Francis Harper II of Alexandria, Va., stepbrother of the groom; James Johnston Doss Jr. of Wilmington; Worth Timothy Haithcock II of Goldsboro; and Christopher Perry Mason Jr. of Raleigh.

Parker Sterling Faircloth, niece of the groom, was flower girl.

Isabelle Doss directed the ceremony.

A program of wedding music was provided by Dr. Jeremy Thompson, organist; Krista Cala and Angela Jovanovitch, violinists; Dennis de Jong, trumpeter; and Kristin Shearin, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Goldsboro Country Club.

After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Virginia Beach, Va.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaid’s luncheon hosted by friends; an engagement party at Walnut Creek Country Club hosted by family and friends; and a cocktail buffet at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Barry Teasley hosted by the Teasleys and Mr. and Mrs. John Walston.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Nov. 28 at Goldsboro Country Club.
