Stealey - Troutman
RALEIGH — Meredith Hardee Troutman of Raleigh and John Wilbur Stealey Jr. of Apex exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 15 at 5 p.m. at Jones Chapel at Meredith College, with Dr. Vernon Tyson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Robert Loy and Carolyn Hardee Troutman of Sanford and the granddaughter of Rebecca Parker and the late Loy Sigmon Troutman of Mount Olive and Mabel Lewis Hardee and the late Thomas Ray Hardee Sr. of Goldsboro.
She attended Meredith College. She is employed at the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine.
The groom is the son of John Wilbur Stealey Sr. and Laura Windsor Stealey of Cary and the grandson of Laura Stealey Hall of Frisco, Texas, the late Charles Austin Stealey Jr., John Lester Windsor of Gilbert, Ariz., and Laura Matilda Desper of Cary.
He attended Virginia Tech. He is employed at Duke University Health Systems.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Amanda Janney Stieglitz was matron of honor, while Emily Parker Troutman was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Samantha Ruby Normandin and Katherine Lisbeth McDonald.
Robert Marvin Teague Jr. was best man.
Groomsmen were Dana Lee Gillon, Michael Norman Phelps and Gregory Eric Pierce.
Ushers were Michael Harrison Troutman and William Tyler Hardee.
Emma Grace Stopper was flower girl. Luke James Stopper was ringbearer.
Cara Zuehlke directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Nora Leeland Zarcone and Jenelle Livesay Mick. Alyson Marie Windsor and Sarah Pettenger Ralph distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Brock W. Downward, organist; Van A. Zimmerman, trumpeter; and Capital String Ensemble.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Capital City Club Raleigh.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple reside in Apex.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower hosted by Joyce Cox, Jeanine Reese, Peggy Hendley, Cynthia Thomas, Linda Kelly, Sherry Fisher and Lisa Foushee; a bridal shower hosted by Susan Britt, Terry Spence, Angie Wood and Sarah Stewart; an around-the-year shower hosted by Susan Laudate, Gwyn Maples, Joyce Edmonds, Cathy McCoy, Lana Fehr and Sally Porter; and a bridal shower hosted by Laura Stealey, Leslie Faiers and Samantha Normandin.
