GOLDSBORO — Kimberly Renee Sharp of Goldsboro and James Thomas Powell of Pikeville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Lane Tree Golf Club, with the Rev. Marty Gurganus officiating.

The bride is the daughter of the late Charlie Ray Sharp and Frances Sharp Woodard.

She is employed as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The groom is the son of Shirley Thornton Powell of Goldsboro and the late O’Max Gardner Powell.

He is employed as project manager with Keen Plumbing.

The bride was escorted by her stepfather, Melvin Woodard, and given in marriage by her sons, Addison and Austin Westbrook.

Attendants were the bride’s sons and the groom’s children, Morgan Powell and Kyle Powell.

Pam Ginn, friend of the couple, directed the wedding ceremony. Presiding at the signature frame was Lindsay Caudle, niece of the groom. Meagan Sharp, niece of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Dwayne Nichols and Casey Sutton, friends of the couple, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, family and friends hosted a reception and dance at Lane Tree Golf Club. Judy Taylor, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake.

The couple reside in Pikeville.
