LAGRANGE — Ginny Melissa Teachey of Fremont and Kenneth Michael Sauls of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 16 at 5 p.m. at Coker Memorial Church, with Pastor Danny Freuler officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Teresa Bogue Davis of Mount Olive, the stepdaughter of Elton Ray Davis of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of William Henry and Mary Edna Bogue of Fremont.

She is a 1999 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School 1999 and a 2003 graduate of Pitt Community College with an associate degree in occupational science. She is employed as a certified occupational therapy assistant at Kindred Healthcare services at Britthaven of Wilson.

The groom is the son of Kenneth Ray and Jimmie Maxine Sauls of LaGrange and the grandson of the late Fred and Gladys Harrell Sauls and Grace Gay Penn of LaGrange and the late Malcolm Buren Gay of Snow Hill.

He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School and North Carolina Wesleyan College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration.

The bride was escorted by her grandfather and given in marriage by her mother and grandfather.

She wore an ivory strapless A-line gown with a peaked empire waistline trimmed in rhinestones. The lace was decorated with beading and crystals. The back was complimented with alternating buttons and rhinestones that met a modified chapel-length train with a scalloped hemline.

She chose an ivory elbow-length headpiece.

The bride carried a bouquet of ivory roses, green hydrangeas, tree fern and seeded eucalyptus with ivory ribbon wrapped around the stems.

Hayley Ginn was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Michelle Frost, sister of the groom; Leah Smith, niece of the groom; Susan Fulghum; Kimberly Casey; and Stacy Strickland.

Kenneth Sauls was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Malcolm Waters and Dusty Shivar, cousins of the groom, Simon Hill, Doug Herring and Matthew Frost, brother-in-law of the groom.

Ushers were Ryan Mitchell and Dusty Shivar.

Aliya Mitchell, daughter of bride, was flower girl. Noah Frost, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Bett Jernigan and Vicki Best directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Kelly Guy and Ashley Graham. Sterling Shupp and Mary Bogue distributed programs.

Jason Mitchell distributed wedding favors.

A program of wedding music was provided by Sharron Barrow, pianist, and Auleana Barnes, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lane Tree Country Club. Ronnie and Nancy Bogue greeted guests.

After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple reside in Fremont.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower at Mt. Carmel Church hosted by Teresa Davis, Edna Bogue, Georgia Crumpler, Tonya Smith, Nancy Bogue, Bett Jernigan and Vicki Best; a grilling shower at Jacob’s Pond hosted by Jimmie Sauls, Michelle Frost, Hayley Ginn and friends; a luau-themed engagement party hosted by friends of the couple; a night out at Sushi Blues in Raleigh hosted by friends; a lingerie shower at Texas Steakhouse hosted by friends of the bride; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Aradia Fittness and 518 Italian Cuisine in Raleigh hosted by the bride.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Coker Memorial Church.
