DUDLEY — Janisue Elizabeth Miller and Jonathon Bryan Taylor exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 2 at 2 p.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church, with the Rev. Danny Keen officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Teddy E. and Holly S. Parrish of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Nancy E. Parrish and the late John R. Parrish of Goldsboro and Myrtle S. Wilson and the late Lester L. Wilson of Dudley.

She is a 2006 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and attends Wayne Community College. She is employed at Mount Olive Pharmacy.

The groom is the son of Kevin N. Taylor and Ronda B. Thompson of Mount Olive and the grandson of Elmer L. and Linda S. Taylor of Mount Olive and Joyce G. Browe and the late James H. Browe of Seven Springs.

He is a 2006 graduate of North Duplin High School and a 2008 graduate of Wayne Community College. He is employed as a machinist at Goldsboro Machine Works.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her family.

She wore a formal gown of white Italian satin with a scoop neckline accented with braided pearls and crystals. Re-emboridered Alencon lace embellished with pearls and sequins adorned the sleeveless bodice and Basque waistline. The full skirt was adorned with scattered beaded lace medallions throughout and flowed into a cathedral train decorated with Alencon lace appliqués, pearls and sequins.

Her headpiece was a crown of Venice lace embellished with pearls and crystals attached to a two-tiered veil of silk illusion with pencil edging.

Bridgett Grady was matron of honor, while Alina Scritchfield was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Elaina Boyd, sister of the groom, and Mia Keen.

Kevin Taylor was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Rodney Browe, brother of the groom,

Vance Grady and Jonathan Lewis.

Silver Edwards, niece of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid. Adam Deal, nephew of the bride, was the junior groomsman.

Riley Grady, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Landon Deal, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.

Amanda Keen directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Jessica Deal, sister of the bride, and Andy Smith. Brittany and James Parent distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Shawn Mood, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held ceremony in the church fellowship hall.

After a wedding trip to the mountains, the couple reside in Grantham.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ luncheon and lingerie shower June 28 at Pizza Village hosted by Holly Daly and Bridgett Grady; a pig picking and a linen shower June 21 hosted by the bride’s parents and grandmother; and a Christmas shower Dec. 9 hosted by Belinda Parent.

A rehearsal dinner was held in Emmaus Church fellowship hall.
