WARSAW — Holly Gale Grady and Richard Earl Edwards of Clinton exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 14 at 6 p.m. at Warsaw Baptist Church, with Dr. Tyanna Day and Dr. John McBride officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Paul Durham Grady Jr. and Gale Bostic Grady of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Georgia Rouse Grady and the late Paul Durham Grady Sr. of Mount Olive and the late John Stanley and Doris Harrell Bostic of Rose Hill.

She is a 1999 graduate of East Duplin High School and a 2003 and 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a certification in elementary education. She attends the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for a master’s degree in curriculum, instruction and supervision. She is employed as a teacher at Clinton City Schools.

The groom is the son of Bobby Ray Edwards of Garland and Laura Shaw Edwards of Ivanhoe and the grandson of the late Benjamin Franklin and Annie Ruth Edwards of Roseboro and Rachel Mitchell and the late Robert Eugene Shaw of Ivanhoe.

He is a 1992 graduate of Lakewood High School and a 2000 graduate of the 102nd Basic Patrol School. He is employed as a trooper with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal gown of candlelight with a sweetheart neckline and a fitted bodice and skirt. It was beaded with crystals with a full fan train of embellished lace and beading.

Her headpiece was a cathedral veil with tiara.

The bride carried a bouquet of deep fuchsia roses accented with pearls and ivory satin ribbon.

Bridesmaids were Candis Bostic and Meghan Brewer, cousins of the bride, and Shay Lanier and Jerri Ann Uhlir, friends of the bride.

Bobby Edwards was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Michael Edwards, brother of the groom; John Paul Grady, brother of the bride; and Lane Silance, friend of the groom.

Taylor Edwards, daughter of the groom, was flower girl. Ethan Bostic, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.

June Waller, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Haley Bostic, cousin of the bride. Logan Hill, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Pam Langston, pianist; Danna Bostic, cousin of the bride, and Woody Stroud, friend of the couple, vocalists; and Pam Langston, organist.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Duplin Country Club. Ricky and Fran Bostic and Kevin and Amanda Bostic, uncles and aunts of the bride, greeted guests. Kathy Hill, aunt of the bride, and Betsy Edwards, aunt of the groom, served the wedding cake.

After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple reside in Clinton.

Events held before the wedding included a cookout June 8 at the home of Phill and Pam Brewer, uncle and aunt of the bride; a bridesmaids’ luncheon May 31 at Abigail’s of Clinton hosted by Hilda Bostic, aunt of the bride, and Dana Bostic, cousin of the bride; a shower May 22 at Oasis Oyster Bar in Clinton hosted by co-workers of the bride; a bachelorette weekend May 16 through 18 in Topsail Island hosted by the bridesmaids; a recipe shower April 27 at the home of Amy Hartsfield hosted by Amy and Erin Hartsfield, friends of the bride; a lawn/garden and tool shower April 20 at the home of the groom’s mother hosted by the groom’s family; a miscellaneous shower April 6 hosted by the Baptist women of Garners Chapel Church; a money and gift card shower March 30 at Hallsville Presbyterian Church hosted by aunts and cousins of the bride; a Christmas shower Dec. 2 at the home of Fran Bostic hosted by Fran and Amanda Bostic, aunts of the bride; and an engagement party Nov. 17 at the home of the bride’s parents hosted by Herman and Kathy Hill and Neal and Donna Hill, friends of the bride’s family.

The couple hosted a rehearsal dinner barbecue June 13 at the home of Jeff and Donna Harrell, cousins of the bride.
