HARKERS ISLAND — Mildred Maxwell Pelletier of Greenville and William Bryan Warren of New Bern exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 14 at 7 p.m. at Harkers Point, with the Rev. Dr. Glenn Franklin Phillips officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jere Walter Pelletier III of Goldsboro, the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jere Walter Pelletier II of Swansboro and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Gordon Maxwell III of Goldsboro and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Francis Roland Hodges of Morehead City.

She graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va., and Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Science degree in health exercise science and attends Brody School of Medicine. She was a member of Chi Omega sorority.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Lovelace Warren of Goldsboro and the grandson of Mrs. Edward Rudolph Warren Jr. of Goldsboro, the late Mr. Warren, the late Mrs. Philip Weitzel Rouse of LaGrange and the late Mr. Rouse.

He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Master of Science degree in accountancy. He was president of Kappa Alpha fraternity.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a Brussels lace veil worn by her mother and aunt.

Charlotte Graye Pelletier of New York, N.Y., was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ellen Warren Grisette of Atlanta, Ga., sister of the groom, and Ann Gordon Pelletier of Goldsboro, sister of the bride.

William Lovelace Warren was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Benjamin Layton Grisette of Atlanta, brother-in-law of the groom and Edward Rudolph Warren of Charlotte and Wylie Paul Warren of Wrightsville Beach, cousins of the groom.

Ushers were Jefferson Glenn Griffin of Chapel Hill, Crawford Biggs Mackethan III of Wilmington, Evan Spencer Smith of Greensboro and William Clayton Vaughn of Martinsville, Va.

Lily Page Maxwell of Goldsboro was flower girl.

Isabelle Williams Doss directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by the Musica String Quartet of Chapel Hill.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Harkers Point.

After a wedding trip, the couple reside in Greenville.

Events before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 13 in Morehead City hosted by Mrs. Cleve Paul and Mrs. Doug Simmons; a cocktail party March 29 hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Franklin, Mr. and Mrs. Al Grisette and Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Wooten; a bridal shower Dec. 22 at the home of Joyce Wooten hosted by Melissa Eason, Eleanor Scott Best, Laura Gable, Maeve Goff, Jamie Pike and Susan Stackhouse; an engagement dance Dec. 22 at Walnut Creek Country Club hosted by friends and family; and a surprise brunch Nov. 14 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mercer Langley of Winston-Salem hosted by the Langleys.

The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner June 13 at the Coral Bay Club in Atlantic Beach. Following the dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Maxwell and Mr. and Mrs. Christian Dysart hosted a dance.
