Natalie Blair Keen of Clayton and Joshua David Barnes of Wendell exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 17 at 4:30 p.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Billy Olsen officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Stephen Preston and Beverly Perkins Keen of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Shirley Keen Narron of Selma and the late J.P. Keen of Princeton, Inez Bridgers and the late Calbert Perkins of Goldsboro.

She is a 1997 graduate of Wayne Country Day School and a 2002 graduate of East Carolina University.

The groom is the son of Charles Paul and Nancy Mattox Barnes of Zebluon and the grandson of Lona Rea Barnes and the late Charles E. Barnes of Clayton and Nelly Elkouby and the late Vernon Mattox of Wendell.

He is a 1997 graduate of Wake Christian Academy and a 2004 graduate of North Carolina State University. He is employed as a manager at C.E. Barnes Store.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents and brother.

Emily Carr Waddell of Goldsboro and Jennifer Kearney Collins of Goldsboro were matrons of honor.

Bridesmaids were Laura Hine DeBiase of Fremont and Rachel Faison Kennedy, Heather Casey Lowe and Elizabeth Blackburn Slocum of Clayton.

Charles Paul Barnes was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Marshall Taylor Carr and Joel Shelton Waddell of Goldsboro, Joshua Flowers Finch of Clayton, Phillip Dewayne Johnson of Wendell and Adam Preston Keen of Greenville.

Beth Carr and Jan Smith directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jenny Calles of Greenville. Dodie Renfer of Clayton distributed programs.

Margy Satterfield was Scripture reader.

Hampton Smith and Harrison Smith were acolytes.

A program of wedding music was provided by the Capital String Ensemble and Tim Stewart, trumpeter.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Goldsboro Country Club. Donna Best and Beth Carr cut the wedding cake. Johnny and Gail Kearney greeted guests. Debbie Brown and Sherry McColluch said good-byes.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple reside in Clayton.

Fred and Ginny Smith; a backporch supper and shower April 12 hosted by Jan and Irvin Smith; a miscellaneous shower April 6 hosted by ladies of Pine Forest Church; a stock-the-bar party April 5 hosted by Josh Finch and Sarah Rothecker; an around-the-town scavenger hunt and luck of the Irish after party March 15 hosted by Rudy and Dodie Renfer; a gift card shower March 8 hosted by John and Linda Keen and Wayne and Tracey Tew; a Christmas shower Nov. 18 hosted by Judy Lewis, Mary Lyall and Sandy Porter; and an engagement party Oct. 27 hosted by the bride’s parents.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Caffe Luna in Raleigh.
