Jessica Megan Beaman and Charles Joshua Long exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 22 at

3 p.m. at Rhodes Friends Church, with Dr. Gordon Clark officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Larry and Pamela Beaman of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Cleo Grady, the late Roscoe Grady and Marvin and Peggy Beaman of Mount Olive.

She is a 2004 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She attended East Carolina University and Lenoir Community College. She is employed with Hair Works.

The groom is the son of John and Judy Goerger of Tampa, Fla., and the grandson of the late Arnie and Eva Goerger of Tampa.

He is a 2000 graduate of Tampa Bay Technical High School. He is serving in the Air Force.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a white satin A-line dress trimmed with red beaded cuffs and a hem with a back split apple red inset chapel-length train.

Her silver rhinestone accented headpiece had a handmade shoulder-length double-layered veil.

The bride carried a bouquet of red roses.

Amber Kilpatrick of Fayetteville was her sister’s matron of honor, while Caroline Benson of Raleigh, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.

Amanda Roberson of Pikeville, cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid.

Sandra Selimovic, friend of the bride, was the honorary bridesmaid.

Jason Long of Tampa was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were John Goerger, father of the groom, and Collin Kilpatrick of Fayetteville, brother-in-law of the bride.

Lillie Thorne, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

La Muriel Swinson, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Stephanie Long, sister-in-law of the groom, and Richard Proctor, cousin of the bride.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Cox, pianist, and Larry Beaman and Marty Gurganus, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

After a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ luncheon March 15 at the Bistro Restaurant of Rose Hill hosted by Kaye Parrish and La Muriel Swinson, aunts of the bride; a surprise bridal shower March 13 at Hair Works hosted by co-workers of the bride; a miscellaneous shower March 2 at Rhodes Friends Church hosted by family and friends of the bride; a lingerie shower Feb. 9 hosted by Joy Thorne; and an engagement party Feb. 2 at the home of Doug and Amanda Roberson hosted by family of the bride.

A rehearsal dinner was held March 21 at the home of Tom and Iris Kilpatrick of Mount Olive.
