KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Mary Jo Bradshaw and David Wayne Williams exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Feb. 9 at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Bill Rose and the Rev. Bill Middleton of Knoxville, father of the bride, officiating.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore a form-fitting white satin gown with a long-sleeved beaded bodice of illusion lace. The train had a satin trim and three-dimensional lace roses scattered below an open back.

Her headpiece was a pearl tiara.

She carried a bouquet of white roses and calla lilies in a Victorian holder.

The couple carried umbrellas, the groom’s being a wedding present from the bride.

June Fleming of Nashville, Tenn., was matron of honor.

Steve Smith of Goldsboro was best man.

Jared Spradling, son-in-law of the bride, and Jere Scott Bradshaw, son of the bride were candlelighters.

Joyce McConnell directed the wedding. Presiding at the guest register was Dorothy Bradshaw of Montgomery, Ala., daughter-in-law of the bride.

A program of wedding music was provided by Randy Prosser and Karen Patzer of Goldsboro and the Rev. Cordelia Howell-Diamond of Knoxville.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church parlor. Lauren Spralding, daughter of the bride, served the wedding cake with white pearl decorations and blackberry filling with a fondant bow topper. A groom’s cake of snack cakes was served. Heather Williams of Raleigh, daughter-in-law of the groom, poured punch. Rebecca Tilly of Goldsboro, daughter of the groom, served the umbrella cookie cutter favors in raindrop bags.

After a wedding cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple reside in Raleigh.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ dinner Feb. 7 at the Green Hills Grill of Knoxville hosted by Priscilla Hale.

The couple held a rehearsal dinner Feb. 8 Calhoun’s on the River of Knoxville.
