GREENVILLE — Bonnie Janelle Casey and John Frank Maynard exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. at Red Oak Christian Church, with the Rev. David Cox officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Ray Casey of Winterville and the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Thelma Casey and the late Ralph and Betsy Bright.

She is a graduate of D.H. Conely High School and Pitt Community College with an associate degree in medical sonography. She is employed as a sonographer at Pitt County Memorial and Roanoke-Chowan hospitals.

The groom is the son of Jimmy and Jona Price Maynard of Grifton and the grandson of Virginia D. Maynard and the late John Frank Maynard of Grifton and Tommy and Frances Price of Goldsboro.

He graduated from Ayden-Grifton High School. He is employed as a project manager at NaturChem.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Jessica Mitchell of Grifton was her sister’s matron of honor, while Kelly Casey of Winterville, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Meredith Dent of Winterville and Kim White of Ayden, friends of the bride; Ashpley Matthews of Winterville and Shannon Stocks of Grifton, friends of the couple; and April White of Charlotte and Dawn White-Mills of Wilmington, cousins of the bride.

Scotty Brinson of Greenville, was his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were Kevin Aycock of Snow Hill, Will Moore of Kinston and Mitch Blake of Greenville, friends of the groom; Jonathan Capps of Charlotte and Kelly Matthews of Winterville, friends of the couple; and Charles Mitchel of Grifton, brother-in-law of the bride.

Emily Brinson of Greenville was flower girl. Keegan Mills of Wilmington, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.

Jackie Shaw of Bethel directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Jean Cayton of Grimesland and Sandy Carson of Bath.

A program of wedding music was provided by Samuel Jones of Ayden, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held at Yankee Hall Plantation. A wedding cake with strawberry, lemon and chocolate fillings was served.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple reside in Bell Arthur.

Events held before the wedding included showers hosted by family and friends of the couple.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Oct. 4 at The Depot of Grifton.
