BEAUFORT — Meghann Amanda Sledge and Emery Donald Ivey exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 20t at 5 p.m. at Lennoxville Point, with Tom Mason officiating.

The bride is the daughter of David Stephen and Stephanie Whaley Sledge of Morehead City and the granddaughter of the late Gordon Ward and Betty Sledge Ballou of Morehead City and G.T. and Katherine Roach Whaley of Raleigh.

The groom is the son of Robert Wilson and Donna Marlowe Ivey of Goldsboro and the grandson of Harry and Molly Wilson Ivey of Goldsboro and Donald Ray and Jean Bass Marlowe of Fremont.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a an ivory floor-length strapless sheath dress with an empire waist and beading on the bodice.

Her headpiece was a fingertip-length veil trimmed in ivory satin.

The bride carried a bouquet of gardenias and white lillianthus.

Tina Marie Hill was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Kaitlin Rebecca Sledge and Emily Isabelle Sledge, sisters of the bride; Lydia Marlowe Ivey, sister of the groom; Jessica Leigh Ferrari; Catherine Grace Montanye; and Kristi Porter Anderson.

Robert Wilson Ivey was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Todd Williams Nunn, Jeffrey Paul Nunn, John Magette Seegars, Hunter Lee Steed, Marc Bredon Lutcavage, Alfred Benjamin Goodrich III, Maxwell Jeffreys Weaver, Darryl Ross Kennedy, Daniel Ray Holmes and Robert Kader Crawford, cousin of the groom.

Taylor Samantha Sledge, daughter of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid.

Anne Scott Fitzpatrick, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Matthew Scott Fitzpatrick, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.

A program of wedding music was provided by Kevin Sledge, cousin of the bride, guitarist.

Following the ceremony, the couple’s parents held a reception at the home of the groom’s family in Beaufort.

After a wedding trip to Barbados, the couple reside in Goldsboro.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner and dance at Morehead City Country Club.
