Lynch - Waller
CHARLOTTE — Elizabeth Kay Waller and Joseph Ryan Lynch exchanged vows in a ceremony Oct. 6 at 5:30 p.m. at Myers Park Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Millie Snyder officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Tara Hill Johnson of Charlotte and Kevin Nichols Waller of Tallahassee, Fla., and the granddaughter of Don Kay Hill of Hickory, the late Betty Jean Hill of Anderson, S.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Uriel Nichols Waller of Clinton.
She is graduate of Myers Park High School and North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. She is employed as a roadway analyst with Kimberly-Horn and Associates of Raleigh.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Daniel Howell of Pikeville and Jerry Luther Lynch of LaGrange, the grandson of Ludie Turner Smith and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Pat Lynch of LaGrange and the stepson of Mr. and Mrs. R.D. Howell of Pikeville.
He is a graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and attends North Carolina State University for a master’s degree in business administration. He is employed as a loan officer with East Carolina Farm Credit of Raleigh.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Cameron Myers Bolen McGill of Charlotte was her friend’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Anna Brooks Kooiman of Toledo, Ohio, Kelly Lynn Schwartz of Charlotte and Rebecca Lynn Heslin, Alexis Jayne Pokorny and Heather Elise Warren of Washington, D.C., friends of the bride, and Jordyn Leigh Howell of Pikeville, sister of the groom.
Jerry Lynch was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Wyatt Stewart Whitley of Greenville, Anthony Everette Pittman of Goldsboro, Brandon Edward Hart and Bradley Stephen Thomson of Raleigh and Charles Bradley Rippetoe of Charlotte, friends of the groom, and Matthew Currin Johnson of Charlotte, stepbrother of the bride.
John Luther Lynch of LaGrange, brother of the groom, was the junior groomsman.
Robert Matthew McGill of Charlotte and Russell James Dubisky of Raleigh, friends of the groom, were ushers.
Jessica Marie Waller of Tallahassee, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Anna Brooks Kooiman was Scripture reader.
Presiding at the register was Christina Lazarou Bisbikis of Charlotte, friend of the bride.
Paige Marie Waller of Charlotte, sister of the bride, and Holly Frances Leonard of Anderson, cousin of the bride, greeted guests.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Carmel Country Club.
After a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple reside in Raleigh.
Events held before the wedding included a round of golf Oct. 5 at Springfield Golf Club; a garden and patio cookout June 2 in Emerald Isle hosted by Keith and Beverly Westbrook, Brian and Joy Glover, John and Angie Floars and Richard and Deane Best; a miscellaneous shower at Mt. Carmel Church hosted by Debra Alphin, Sue Price and Amy Brit, aunts of the groom; an around-the-clock shower and recipe shower in Charlotte; a bachelor party in Wrightsville Beach hosted by the groom’s wedding attendants; a bachelorette party in Lake Lure hosted by the bride’s wedding attendants; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Noble’s Restaurant hosted by Janet Allen, friend of the family, Robin Greene and Tamara Leonard, aunts of the bride, and the bride’s mother.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Oct. 5 at Maggiano’s Little Italy.
