Hess - Andrews
Kellie Marie Andrews and Mark Alan Hess exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 25 at 5 p.m. at Lane Tree Golf Club, with Dexter Johnson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Carole Andrews of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Helen Shoemaker of Sylvania, Ohio, the late William Andrews of Phillipsburg, Pa., and Joyce Bird and the late Alec Baggott of Leiston, England.
She is a 2000 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 2005 cum laude graduate of Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration/business management. She is employed as a customer experience supervisor at Old Navy.
The groom is the son of Mark and Joyce Hess of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Harold Joe Hess of Charleston, W. Va., Mary Katherine Hess of Goldsboro and Lynn Thomas and Erna Davis of Winterhaven, Fla.
He is a 1999 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2004 summa cum laude graduate of Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration/business management. He is employed as a resource advisor with the 4th Civil Engineering Squadron at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an ivory spaghetti strap A-line dress with side-drape detail. The bodice featured iridescent sequins and pearls. The back was accented with pearls and sequins and flowed to a chapel-length train.
Her headpiece was a rhinestone and pearl tiara attached to a two-tiered ivory veil with satin edging.
The bride carried a bouquet of ivory, orange and yellow roses.
Jennifer Gram was her friend’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Tracy Andrews and Jamie Andrews, sisters of bride, and Samantha Overman and Lindsey Chalmers, friends of bride.
Steven Cory Hess was his brother’s best man.
Groomsmen were Aaron Johnson, Eddie Huerta, Matthew Overman and Aaron Chalmers, friends of groom.
Christopher Venable, friend of bride, was the usher.
Shalyn Keller was flower girl. T.J. Keller was ringbearer.
Christopher Venable directed the wedding.
Special helpers were Jennifer and Casey!.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Lane Tree Golf Club.
After a wedding trip to the western Caribbean, the couple reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ dinner Aug. 23 at Logan’s; a lingerie shower Aug. 18 hosted by Lindsey Chalmers and Samantha Overman; and a honeymoon shower July 8 hosted by Joyce and Katie Hess.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at their home. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
