Michelle Renee Farmer of Raleigh and Anthony Randolph Gray of Raleigh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 22 at 5 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church , with Pastor Juan Goodson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jimmie Lewis and Linda Hargrove Farmer of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late James Farmer Sr. and Jessie Mae Farmer of Wilson and the late John Edward Hargrove and Geraldine B. Gray Hargrove of Rocky Mount.

She is a 2000 honor graduate of Goldsboro High School and a 2004 graduate of North Carolina State University with a major in civil engineering. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She is employed as an assistant district engineer for Durham, Person and Granville counties at the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

The groom is the son of Melissa Gray of Palm Coast, Fla., and the late William Gray Jr. and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Gray Sr. of Travis , Fla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Deloach of Ridgeland, S.C.

He is a 2000 graduate of West Charlotte High School and a 2004 graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in computer science. He is employed as an integration engineer at Arsenal Digital Solutions Inc. of Cary.

The bride was escorted by father and given in marriage by parents.

She wore an ivory-gold gown with a V-halter neckline decorated in lace cascading down from the neckline and extending out to the ruched skirt. The skirt and chapel-length train were accented with beading and crystals.

Her headpiece was a shoulder-length double veil attached to a tiara.

The bride carried a bouquet of hand-tied plum calla lilies, miniature champagne roses, confetti roses and coffee beans.

Patrice Lorraine Farmer of Raleigh was her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Tiffany Gray of Greensboro, sister of the groom, and Sarah Gilliard of New York City, sorority sister of the bride.

Rashad Graham was his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were Kiel Chapman and Machon Gregory, college friends.

Thelma Smith directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jerry Darrell Raynor , pianist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Officers’ Club.

After a wedding trip to Asheville, the couple reside in Raleigh.

Events held before the wedding included a pre-wedding party at Mosquitos of Raleigh hosted by Patrice Farmer and Sarah Gilliard.

The groom’s mother held a rehearsal dinner at Hampton Inn.
