Nagypal - Ivey
SAINT JOHN, U.S. Virgin Islands — Esther Frances Ivey and Bela Nagypal VI of Raleigh exchanged vows Aug. 10 at 5 p.m. in Caneel Bay, with the Rev. William Arnet officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Emery Ivey of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Maxwell Herring Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ivey of Goldsboro.
She is a graduate of Wayne Country Day School. She attended Meredith College and North Carolina State University. She is employed by Sealy Inc. as a territory manager.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bela Nagypal V of Woodville, Texas, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Collier, Mr. and Mrs. Bela Nagypal IV and the late Virginia Taylor of Woodville.
He graduated from Woodville High School and Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. He is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He is employed by Sealy Inc., as a territory manager.
The bride was escorted by her father and presented in marriage by her parents.
Harriet Ruth Ivey of Goldsboro, sister of the bride, and Brandi Nicole Nagypal of Austin, Texas, sister of the groom, were maids of honor.
Honorary bridesmaids were Sara Elizabeth Attebury of New York, N.Y., Heather Herring Best, Amanda Best Hinnant and Claudia Best Carreno of Goldsboro, Jay Rachael Heuer of Wilmington, Lydia Marlowe Ivey and Ashley Jean Keesee of Raleigh and Kendra Core King of Durham.
Jeese Rey Villarreal of Houston, Texas, was best man.
Justin Allen Cariker of Marshall, Texas, was the groomsman.
Edie Berry-Zuckerwar directed the wedding.
The Rev. William Arnet, Sara Elizabeth Attebury and Kendra Core King were readers.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jesus Zamora, harpist; Chris Roberts, violinist; Dale Harrigen, trumpeter; and Shikima Jones, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Turtle Bay Estate House. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth David Keesee Sr. of Goldsboro greeted guests.
After a wedding trip to the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, the couple reside in Raleigh.
