SELMA — Bonnie Jean Strickland of LaGrange and James Ivey Hill of LaGrange exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 7 at 5 p.m. at Grady’s Little River Farm, with the Rev. Kenneth F. Privette officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jerry Wayne Strickland of Byrdstown, Tenn., and Brenda Jernigan Selvidge of Pikeville, the stepdaughter of Libby M. Strickland and the granddaughter of the late William Henry and Mammie Beddingfield Strickland of Selma and the late James Albert and Nellie Gray Jernigan of Lucama.

She is employed as a dispatcher at Ed Phillips Inc.

The groom is the son of James Ruffin and Rose Ann Hill of Kinston and the grandson of the late Ivey and Nellie King Hill and the late Furney M. and Audrey Jones of Kinston.

He is employed as an HVAC installer at Ed Phillips Inc.

Deborah Williamson was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ashley Heath and Taylor Heath.

Joseph Strickland was best man.

Groomsmen were Bradley Kornegay and Octavis Banks.

Camryn Hill and Samantha Strickland were flower girls. Kaleb Heath was ringbearer.

Gwen Bracknell directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Joyce Edmundson.

A program of wedding music was provided by Randy Swinson.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held. Elaine Joyner served the wedding cake. Lois Strickland poured punch.

After a wedding trip to Williamsburg, Va., the couple reside in LaGrange.

A rehearsal dinner was held July 6 at Grady’s Little River Farm.
