Lauren Elizabeth Stocks and Brandon Thomas Rouse exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 21 at 2 p.m. at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dann Patrick and the Rev. Christian Powell officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jeffery Gaines and Della Ausbon Stocks of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Thomas and Pauline Stocks of Alabama and Lydia White and the late Landon Ausbon of Mississippi.

She is a 2004 graduate of Faith Christian Academy and attends Southeastern Free Will Baptist College for a degree in elementary education with a minor in music.

The groom is the son of Thomas Walter and Janice Herring Rouse of Goldsboro and the grandson of Shirley Rouse and the late J.B. Rouse of LaGrange and Edna Herring and the late Robert Herring of Kenansville.

He is a 2000 graduate of Faith Christian Academy and a 2004 graduate of Pensacola Christian College with a degree in Bible and a minor in broadcasting. He is self-employed.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal white sleeveless gown of silk taffeta with a dropped waist bodice of Venise lace embellished with pearls and sequins. It had pearls and lace appliqués on the front of the skirt and scalloped hemline with pearls and lace scallops across the neckline. It featured lace and pearl insets across the front, sides and down the back of the cathedral train.

Her headpiece was a single-layer elbow-length veil with pearl embellishments and a band of pearls and rhinestones. She also wore a strand of pearls given to her by the groom’s aunt.

The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white, orange and red roses, orange and red Gerber daisies, orange calla lilies and orange day lilies with pearl pins.

Cassie Riggs of Durham was her friend’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Blaire Sloan, Amber Mann, Sarah Marcum, Kasey Lundquist and Elizabeth Mooring of Goldsboro, friends of the bride, and Melissa Haas of Goldsboro, sister of the groom.

Thomas Walter Rouse was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Taylor Stocks, brother of the bride; Jonathan Haas, brother-in-law of the groom; and Clifton Griffin, Justin Smith, Jason Patel and Robert Winders of Goldsboro, friends of the groom.

Hanna Stocks of Goldsboro, sister of the bride, was the junior maid of honor.

Alana Bailey, friend of the bride, was flower girl. Will Caudle, friend of the bride, was ringbearer.

Sue Floars directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Maggie Spencer. April Baines distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Susan Denton, pianist; Kevin Denton, Sandra Daw, Amber Mann, Taylor Stocks and Thomas Rouse, vocalists; and Micah Conlon, guitarist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Patsy Howard was coordinator. Alana Bailey and Will Caudle distributed bubbles. Eddie and Ruth Smith greeted guests. Peggy Sloan and O’Linda Hamilton, friends of the bride, served the wedding cake. Melony Brown, aunt of the groom, and Lisa Cordell, friend of the bride, served the groom’s cake. Brenda Patrick and Joyce Corbett, friends of the couple, poured punch. Peggy Cozine and Andrea Holloman, friends of the bride, served at the chocolate fountain.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple reside in LaGrange.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal brunch July 20 at the home of Joyce Corbett hosted by friends; a lingerie shower June 9 hosted by Cassie Riggs; a shower June 4 hosted by ladies of Faith Church; and a handyman/pantry shower May 26 hosted by the aunt and uncle of the groom.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner July 20 at Faith Free Will Baptist Church.
