Allison Nicole Howell and Bennie Jason Wolfe exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 30 at 6 p.m. at Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Williams officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Gilbert and Sharon Howell of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Paul and Joyce Bartlett of Pikeville and Edna Howell Orton and the late Deams Manning Howell of Goldsboro.

She is a 2000 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2004 graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed as a third-grade teacher at Fremont STARS Elemesntary.

The groom is the son of Nelson and Sheila Wolfe of Pikeville and Diane Kennedy and the grandson of Walt and May Kantenwein and Jimmy and Louise McKeel of Goldsboro, the late Richard Floyd and Cora Mae Wolfe of Pikeville.

He is a 1999 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2003 graduate of Mount Olive College with a bachelor’s degree in visual communications. He is employed with Reese Sign Service as a graphic designer.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal gown of white chiffon over satin with a strapless neckline. The bodice and A-line skirt were enhanced with floral embroidery, pearls and sequins and flowed into a semi-cathedral train.

Her headpiece was a crystal comb attached to a two-tiered veil of silk illusion with a pencil edging.

The bride carried a clutch bouquet of confetti roses tied with sheer yellow ribbon.

Leigh Ann Horton was her sister’s matron of honor, while Courtney Howell, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.

Jamie Sears, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid.

Nelson Wolfe was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Justin Wolfe, brother of the groom; Bryan Wolfe, cousin of the groom; and Brandon Godwin, friend of the groom.

Kimberlee and Katherine Wolfe, sisters of the groom, were flower girls. Tyler Horton, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.

Anna Bartlett, cousin of the bride, was the miniature bride. Blake Bartlett, cousin of the bride, was the miniature groom.

Janet Moore and Anna White, friends of the bride’s family, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Heather Wolfe and Kelly Hill, cousins of the groom.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jim Grant and Michelle Hamm, co-workers of the bride, vocalists, and Camille Frederick, co-worker of the bride, pianist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Brick Village. Lynn Murphy, cousin of the groom, cut the wedding cake. Bobbie Gardner, friend of the bride’s family, poured punch. Steven and Deanna Bartlett, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Eric and Paula Steele, cousins of the bride, greeted guests.

After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nev., the couple reside in Pikeville.

Events held before the wedding included a lingerie shower June 10 hosted by Leigh Ann Horton and Paula Steele; a bridal shower April 27 hosted by family and friends of the couple; a bridal shower April 6 hosted by co-workers of the bride; and a Christmas shower Dec. 31 hosted by Leigh Ann Horton and Courtney Howell, sister of the bride.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner June 29 at Free Chapel Church.
