Jennifer Shaffer and Bobby Ray Stone III exchanged vows in a double- ring garden ceremony May 19 at 1 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Stone, grandparents of the groom, with the Rev. George Stone, uncle of the groom, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dorothy Bolyard of Athens, Ga.

She is a graduate of Spring Grove High School in Pennsylvania. She is employed as a sales associate at Walmart.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby R. Stone Jr. of Goldsboro and the grandson of Bobby Ray and Christine Brown Stone.

He is a graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. He is employed with Stone Construction.

The bride was escorted by her brother and given in marriage by her mother and brother.

She wore a formal gown of white matte satin with a dropped waist and a chapel-length train.

Her headpiece was a finger-tipped veil of silk illusion attached to a tiara of crystals and pearls.

Melanie Kirby was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Katherine Hinnant, Clarissa Adams and Paula Casey, friends of the bride.

Alex Bain was best man.

Groomsmen were Henry King and Chris Bunn, friends of the groom.

Bethanie Kirby and Autumn Heath were flower girls. Blake Stone and Kenny Wertz, brothers of the groom, were ringbearers.

Following the ceremony, the groom’s parents and grandparents held a reception in the gardens of the home.

After a wedding trip to Indian Beach, the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower May 5 at the home of Chris and Bob Stone; and a bridesmaids’ luncheon May 16 at Lane Tree Golf Club hosted by Sheri McDonald and Julia Talton.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner May 18 at their home.
