Bailey - Worley
PRINCETON — Holly Marie Worley and Matthew Wayne Bailey exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 28 at 3 p.m. at Hephzibah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Stephenson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Worley of Princeton and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Peedin and the late Mr. and Mrs. Luby “Root” Worley of Princeton.
She is a 1996 graduate of Princeton High School and a 2001 graduate of North Carolina State University. She is employed as a teacher assistant at Princeton School.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bailey of Seattle, Wash., and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Gundolf of Little Rock, Ark., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Oma Bailey of Jasper, Texas.
He is a 1994 graduate of Kentridge High School. He is serving in the Army stationed at Ft. Bragg.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a princess cut gown of candlelight satin. Embroidery and beading adorned the bodice, hemline and semi-cathedral train. The back was enhanced with a corset lace-up closure.
Her headpiece was a pearl and crystal tiara attached to a candlelight fingertip-length veil.
The bride carried her mother’s wedding Bible with a semi-cascading bouquet of white spring flowers of lilies, daisies, roses and carnations on top.
Alyson Worley was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Peedin and Cynthia Peedin, cousins of the bride, and Tara Lee and Jennifer Parker, school friends of the bride.
Nick Tubbs was his friend’s best man.
Groomsmen wee Alfred Fraccola, Isaac Chiles, Jack Scheffler and Kyle Sharrow, friends of the groom.
Mary Lee Howell was flower girl. Alex Hickman was ringbearer.
Debra Lane and Debria Perry directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Brooke Norris. Jason Peedin and Travis Evans distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Susan Woodall, pianist and vocalist; Pam Peedin and Shane Woodall, vocalists; and Wayne Peedin, sound technician.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Friends and relatives greeted guests, served the wedding cake and poured punch.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. the couple reside in Benson.
Events held before the wedding included a dinner party April 26 at the home of Tom and Ann Parrish hosted by the Parrishes; a lingerie shower and bachelorette party April 21 hosted by the bridesmaids and friends of the bride; a bridesmaids’ luncheon April 21 at the home of Waiston and Dorothy Lee hosted by Dorothy and Tara Lee; a pig picking March 24 at the home of Wayne and Pam Peedin hosted by the gang; a miscellaneous shower March 18 at Hephzibah Church hosted by the bride’s family; and a miscellaneous shower March 12 at Princeton School hosted by co-workers.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner April 27 at the Steak Barn.
