MOUNT OLIVE — Marion Julvette Wallace and Tavare Deangelo Hill of Faison exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 7 at 2 p.m. at Piney Green Free Will Baptist Church, with Elder Braxton Frederick officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Adalene Wallace and the late George Whitfield of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of the late Peter Jones of Pink Hill and Julia Wallace-Middleton of Kenansville.

She graduated from East Duplin high School. She is employed as in inventory control at Butterball.

The groom is the son of Martin Johnson of Fayetteville and Valerie Hill-Curlett of Faison and the grandson of Mae Johsnon and the Rev. Kenneth P. Johnson of Fayetteville and the late Edwin Roscoe and Ola Mae Hill of Faison.

He graduated from North Duplin High School. He served in the Marine Corps. He is employed as in process control at Butterball.

The bride was escorted by her brother and given in marriage by Douglas Lee Wallace.

She wore a formal off-white satin strapless gown trimmed in Victorian lilac. It had a semi-cathedral train covered in pearls and sequins.

Tekia N. Wallace was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Evonne Jones, Autumne Greene and Angela Dixon.

Jerry Greene Jr. was best man.

Groomsmen were Dannie Curlett Jr., Joshua Hill and Levarr Gomez.

Ushers were Rashad Branch and Jerel Adkins.

Aquala E. Wallace was flower girl. Morterio D. Simmons Jr. was ringbearer.

Vikki Nichelson directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jessica Greene. Crystal Robinson distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Myneco Daniels, pianist, and Pamelia Simmons, Deidra Williams and Michael Houston, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Mount Olive College’s Murphy building.

After a wedding trip, the couple reside in Mount Olive.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower March 10 at Faison Community building.
